There are security cameras all over Casper High, and they're fun to watch.
Enjoy :)

"Hehe, what an idiot," the Casper High School security officer, Steve, chuckled under his breath as he took a bite out of a crumbly croissant. He was observing the school's security system, which had cameras in almost every corner.

He watched as his favorite student run down a hallway and hide around the bend of an intersecting corridor. Steve had been non-creepily observing this teen since his freshman year, and it was the highlight of Steve's day. The student looked around the corner, down the hall, and practically into the camera before transforming into his ghost-busting alter ego.

Wiping his hands on his pants to get rid of the crumbs, Steve continued to laugh to himself as he watched the senior student fly through several frames, kicking ghost butt. "After four years, you'd think he'd realize that there are cameras everywhere," he said to himself, reaching for a bowl of peanuts on the other side of his desk.

With the high school graduation ceremony approaching, Steve realized his favorite student would soon be leaving Casper High. He wanted to do something special for the teen who had saved so many lives and made his days more enjoyable. Absentmindedly twirling his fingers through his mustache, Steve pondered on what would be the best graduation gift.

Then it struck him: he had archives of all the security footage. Due to legal reasons, Vice Principal Lancer requested that all the footage be saved for up to seven years before being destroyed. Being the smart security guy he was, as soon as Steve noticed that one of the students was the town's hero, he kept all of the footage containing the teen's transformations and battles in a separate box to protect the student's identity.

Going to the storage closet in the security room, Steve pulled out the special tapes from the last four years. Over the next few weeks, he compiled several different taped events and put them on a compact disc, just in time for the seniors' last day of class.

Watching over his security cameras, Steve spotted the teenager standing next to the water fountain on the second floor by the ladies' room. Acting quickly, Steve grabbed the keys to his security office and the gift before heading up to the second floor. Moments later, he saw the teen in question.

Steve wasn't a scary guy, given that he was a goofy, mustachioed Minnesotan man, but everyone had a slight fear of him, especially when he wore a determined look on his face; he was a security officer, so if he looked serious around campus, it usually meant that he was after someone. And, while he was after someone, this was different than his usual missions.

"Mr. Fenton?" Steve asked as he approached the teen and his friends.

Apprehensively looking up, Danny nodded, asking: "Uh, yeah?"

"Ah, don't worry, kid, you're not in any trouble. I just wanted to give you a little something as a farewell gift," Steve reassured as he handed the compact disc and a small card to the teenager.

"Uh, thanks, I think," Danny said with a slight frown. "This is nice and all, but it's kind of creepy coming from an adult in their forties."

"Don't think about it like that, kid. Consider it a thank you for all you've done. Have a good graduation." Steve's mustache twitched up into a smile as waved goodbye and walked away from the small group of friends.

Back in his security office, Steve watched as Danny and his friends conversed, likely in regard to Steve's gift. Finally taking a look at the card attached to the disc, Danny's eyes widened, causing Steve to let out a small chuckle to himself.

The card—a small thank you note—personally thanked the one and only Danny Phantom for keeping Casper High safe. It also contained a little P.S. advising him to be more careful and to check for cameras.
