" Viraat. Viraat Listen to me ----Oh Shit. If Maharani ji is saying, I have to say yes, I will be there by the end of the week I promise. Pia has her check up in 2 days, we both will be there after that, you see the Mrs. always comes first---What? You even booked the tickets! Chalo send them to me, I will call you soon. "
Rishab disconnected the call shaking his head, looking at his beautiful wife rubbing her eyes. "Viraat called?"
"Yes baby..." Rishab said, bending down to kiss her..
"What happened?"
"His engagement is fixed and he wants us to attend. That fucker already booked our tickets and then called as if to ask me for my permission. He even threatened me taking Maharani Ji's name you know"
"Ohhh..Thats nice." Pia said.
Rishab had got up and was going to the washroom when he turned back to look at her. Pia's eyes held an unknown emotion. She also looked up at him and gave him a weak smile before getting up from the bed herself. Rishab immediately realized what was going through her mind.
Pia was one of those simple girls who wanted a fairy tale. She wanted a proper wedding, but Rishab had forced her for this. For this wedding, for everything. She never got a proper wedding, she never got to dress up in a wedding dress and now he was going to take her to the most dreamy wedding India will experience. Rishab moved into the washroom thinking about all his mistakes, thinking about all the crap he put her through.
He turned the shower on and as the water drenched his body he heard Pia's voice, "Rishab....breakfast bana dia hai...Aapka wait kar rahi hu" [Rishab I have made the breakfast....I am waiting for you]
"Okay Baby, I am coming..."
Every passing moment was suffocating Rishab. All he could think about was how he took everything, every dream away from the girl he claimed to love...But now he knew exactly what he had to do.
'Fuck Fuck! How the fuck I was so fucking oblivious!! I will make her the happiest person in this whole wide world' Rishab said to himself and stepped out of the shower.
He dried himself and took out his phone typing the one number he knew would never say no him.
He went down to the kitchen and saw Pia sitting on the breakfast table waiting for him. She was looking at her left hand which was shivering. I understood at once, she was having tremors again.
The tremors had reduced, but it would still take a few months for them to stop permanently, and until then Pia could not do any surgeries again.
"Hey Baby." Rishab went and sat near her, kissing her forehead. She served him his breakfast and then she put up her plate as well and both of them started to eat, talking about everything.
In the past few weeks Pia had finally started being her self again, but there were many changes. Pia was no more the shy timid girl. She had always been strong, and Rishab made sure that she would never be in any bad situation again.
He had started her training the very next day when she came from the hospital.
"Why Rishaaab. I don't want to...I am not even fine now...." Pia had told him when he woke her up the very next day after she came back from the hospital.
"Pia I cannot take any chances now. I have to, I have to train you. You need to learn to protect yourself even in these positions. Even if you are hurt you should know how to take care of yourself, and especially when you are vulnerable, because that is when the enemy strikes...any time, any where. You should learn" he had told her.
He made her train, and even Pia saw the change in herself, she was getting stronger, physically even, with every passing day she was feeling better, and more confident on herself. She was studying everything which she was missing, but she was missing surgery and nothing could take its place.
When Rishab had told her about the wedding they were going to attend, it reminded her of her own. A court marriage, which she did not even agree too. She loved Rishab, no doubt, but she had always dreamed about a grand wedding, a wedding where she would be dressed as the most beautiful girl in the room and her groom would have eyes only for her. She had thought as soon as she would get selected, wedding would be the first thing she would do, and it was, but not in the way she wanted.
She had forgiven Rishab a long time back, she did not blame him, but the circumstances, and yet sometimes her heart felt the tug.
But she was happy. She had a husband who loved her so much. A loving family. Yes, the fact that she would never be a mother irked her, but Rishab said that he would support her no matter what decision she took, no matter what she says, he would agree. If she wanted to adopt, surrogacy, anything and everything. Rishab said he would always back her no matter what the matters are.
Looking at him talking to her, she felt content, at peace, knowing whatever life throws at her, she would happily face everything till the time her man is standing strong beside her.Hey guys!
