Ch.21 Meeting the Pack and a Challenge for Alpha

Olivia POV

After meeting with the pack elders which felt like hours even though it just lasted 90 minutes. I was still in shock from when my mates told me that I'll be meeting the pack. However, they continued to laugh cause of my expression it was their father word that brought back to earth saying that I'll be meeting his Beta and Gamma along with my mates Beta and Gamma who be taking over the roles once the twins and I take over as Alphas and Luna.

My family and I followed behind the Alpha family threw a door that we were completely unaware of. Strangely enough my mates slowed down their walking speed and beginning to linger as they were waiting for me to join walking with them. Considering how both my mates are taller it took a few more of my short ass steps just to catch up to them which they just giggled about.

As soon as we stepped outside we saw a stage that just looks like it's recently built and then and there it was time to announce to the pack that the Alpha but in this case Alpha twins have found their mate. Which meant for me that I have to give a speech to the pack but I don't see why as the elders were okay with me since I answered their questions that they asked me which some became quite personal.

Pack members moved out of our way even though they were clever they would of build the stage closer to the door with the steps just a short walk away but noooo they wanted to make us walk to the stage my mates just laughed and I just blushed realising that I said that last part out loud but only they heard it which I'm kind of grateful for. It wasn't long until we reached the stairs and walked up them until we were on the stage facing the pack and to think I was nervous meeting the elders of the pack I was shitting bricks seeing how many people were standing in front of us, El just crouched down until her lips were near my ear and said that this isn't the entire pack as there are a lot more but will meet them all eventually I just turned to look at with a shock expression on my face.

I was brought back when their father the Alpha address them to be quiet as they have an announcement to make but to some in the crowd they already knew what the announcement was about as I go to school with some of them and have become friends with a few of them.

Their father called on El and Mags forward to make the announcement as it's customary for the next alpha to announced that they have found their mate.

Mags and El took their place in the center of the stage and looked over the pack, I'm kind of lucky and unlucky cause I reckon the pack link is hectic because of what the important announcement is going to be. I was brought back to earth when I just heard El said that they have found their mate and whilst looking at me when addressing the pack there were cheers and jubilations but some look worried as to how can 3 women reproduce to have an heir that can overtake the leading of the pack when it's our turns to step down from the role.

But one of the pack members wasn't happy about the twins having a mate who is also female. Then we here the man who is a pack warrior challenging the alpha for his position.

There was a sense of shock in the crowd as it's meant to be a time for celebration not for a challenge for alpha. Mags and El just came and stood by my side stating that the warrior who submitted the challenge lost their mate in a rogue attack. I just looked at them with a shock expression etched across my face now knowing why he wants to challenge the alpha because of my status some of the pack warriors moved my family away as they were only human and if anything happened to them they be at risk.

The area was cleared to make space for the challenge for position of alpha. A man stepped forward announcing the challenger first as Luke then followed by the Alpha Xavier the pack was completely silence when the man announced who I just found out by Mags whispering in my ear that it's the Alpha Beta and that his name Shaun. The rules were clear either kill your opponent or pin them by submission.
Anyone that interferes in the fight will be executed or banished after the challenge was over. Then the one word that we know that will start the fight.

BEGIN!

Both Xavier and Luke both shifted into their wolves and there was no doubt who's wolf was who as Xavier wolf completely towered over Luke's wolf straight away Luke went for the attack and Xavier just dodged them all as he knew that Luke would waste his energy which would make it easier for him to make Luke submit. It wasn't long after that Xavier in wolf form had Luke on the ground with his mouth around his neck it Luke knew that he lost and submitted. Xavier got off Luke and shifted back Shaun just handed Xavier a pair of clothes since he shifted whilst wearing them which obviously ripped. Xavier wife just checked over her mate as she was completely worried for him during the fight which he just chuckled and said that he was ok that however, did earn him a slap across the back of the head.

After the fight it was time to meet some of the important members of the Dark Blood Pack after Luke was taken to the hospital with the injuries he had sustained during the fight. It was then Xavier addressed me to his Beta Shaun and his mate Sadhbh, his Gamma who's the Beta brother Sean and his mate Sophia but the worst thing is that Shaun and Sean lookalike that I probably make the mistake calling them by the wrong name.

The next people I meet is Mags and El Beta and Gamma and what do you know they aren't siblings but they do sure lookalike I then hear my wolf Amelia say "Great even more confusion" then slowly going back into the back of mind. I was slightly given a nudge into my side my El with a concern look on her face then asking was everything ok. I just gave her a nod. She just smiled at me then asked me what were the names of their Beta and Gamma I slightly panicked and quickly asked Amelia what their names were and she just replied "how do I know I was talking to you? Stupid human", lazy wolf I replied back. I quickly respond with, Danni and Eliza. El just looked at Mags just laughed and said lucky guess.

El, Mags and I made our way towards the table and just stacked our plates with a mountain of food and made our way to the table where their parents were sitting along with my aunt and uncle enjoying the food and the celebration that the future alpha's have found their mate it wasn't then we heard a howl and this type of howl didn't sound friendly at all. It was then Xavier turned to face his Beta and Gamma and whispered to them just not to alarm my aunt and uncle one word which all us wolves heard.

Rogues

Quickly the Luna Meredith told my aunt and uncle along with my cousins to get inside as it was dangerous for them since we have an unfriendly visitor who just so happens to invite themselves to this celebration. She also told me to get inside aswell as she stated that I have no fighting experience but obviously to her I do which I also kept quiet from my mates which was another one of the reasons we had to move cause of fear of retaliation or them finding out that I'm not just human, cause if my secret did come out it wouldn't just me being in trouble with the supernatural council but also my uncle.
