Wrong Yet Feels So Right(Avalance)

Part 12

This chapter is mostly in Sarah's POV because she had a deeper bond with the crew then Ava did.

Sarah's POV

"So we leave the legends who do we put in charge" says Sarah. "I need someone I can trust but also someone who will get the job done."

"Well I was actually thinking about this a lot," says Ava. "I think it should be Zari. She is strong, smart, and she is capable."

"I mean she would do great, people trust her and that is a good thing. But the real question is when do you want to leave and when do you want to tell them?"

"Well we can leave today but I say we give them 2 weeks like any other job. I still have my apartment from when I worked at the Bureau. We don't have to live there forever but just until we find our own place."

"That sounds good but I think that means we have to tell the team now" says Sarah in a sad tone.

"Let's do it."

Narrator's POV

Captain lance announces through Gideon that everyone needs to meet in the kitchen. As they all gather around Sarah and Ava sre trying to calm their nerves as best they can.

Once they all gather Sarah and Ava begin the conversation that has made them both so heartbroken.

Sarah's POV

"I'm sure you guys are wondering why Ava and I asked you in here and it will be made clear. I just ask that you all stay quite until the end then you may ask questions. Is that understood?" Questioned Sarah.

Everyone acknowledged and said they understood.

"This may come as a shock to you guys but Ava and I thought long and hard about this decision and would like your support. We believe it is time that we step away from the Waverider and start our lives together outside of the Bureau. We want to go and start a family together and it's hard when you put your life in the line every day. And don't get me wrong I love what we do here but we both need time for ourselves" says Sarah.

Ava takes over by saying, "and I'm sure this all leaves you wondering about who will be the new captain. Well sarah and I also thought long and hard about that. Through careful consideration we believe that Zari would be the best fit to fill Sarah's shoes as we leave and start our new life together."

Zari's pov

"Wait are you being serious right now. You want me to be captain."

"Yes Zari we believe you will do great and keep the world a better place" says Ava.

"Well thank you so much I appreciate the support and opportunity."

Narrator's POV

For the rest of the night the team all have fun talking and reminiscing about the past. The team was sad about your leaving but happy for you to start your lives together.

Sarah trains Zari on how to be captain for the two weeks that they have left together to ensure the safety of her family.

After the two weeks were up Ava and Sarah sad their goodbye and went home.

Just because they left the Waverider does not mean they wont ever see each other again. They will always be a family and can always come visit.
