So this is on New Years at the end and fireworks are mentioned once. But anyways, siblings.

Damian, along with Marinette, were the only blood related kids that Bruce Wayne had.

They had the same mother. Marinette, like Damian, had gotten their looks from their father. Only Marinette had blue eyes and had paler skin than Damian.

They were both sent off to their father the same time.

Damian had gotten into his shenanigans while Marinette would always stay at home and mind her own business.

The sad part about it was that only three people who ever had been to the manor would interact with her. Those three were Damian, Alfred, and Dick. Damian because they were twins. He knew that she was one of the only people he would talk to without a problem. Dick and Marinette just got along greatly, so he made an effort to hang out with her. Alfred would help her when she had a problem or if she wanted to try something, he would be the one to encourage her to do it, and even help her.

Bruce never thought to spend time with her. In reality, Alfred was more of a father than Bruce ever was to her. The only time he would actually acknowledge her is if someone else brought it up. But only then, he would ask the person how she was doing, instead of her. It was like he never noticed she was in front of him.

One day, after getting tired of being ignored, Marinette just asked one morning if she could leave and go to a school in Paris. Everyone's conversation had stopped at the table, but Bruce hadn't noticed. His face was too into the newspaper he was reading. He dismissed her, saying yes to it. Everyone knew he wasn't paying attention.

A week later, Marinette had left. Jason and Tim saw her leave the house, promising to call her at least once a week. They knew they weren't the best brothers to her, never actually acknowledging her, but at least they paid attention to her existence, unlike their father.

Right before she stepped onto the private jet she was taking, Damian and Dick made her promise to call them when she arrived and they would call whenever they could. Marinette smiled at them. The face that it was the brightest her smile had ever been was left unsaid.

Weeks of being in Paris, something happened. She had made some friends at the school she was going to. And she was always going to a bakery, since it had a homey feeling that she had never felt. So they welcomed her and took care of her since she didn't have an adult she was staying with.

At the school she was going to, she changed her last name to Fu, so the friends she got were what she thought were real and weren't just with her because they were gold diggers.

She called Damian and Dick almost daily. They had made her laugh and let her have a good day. Jason and Tim had called once a week, like they promised.

On a phone call one day, Marinette asked a question.

"Has he even noticed I'm not there?"

The line went silent. It was an agreement from everyone that they wouldn't say her name or even mention her around Bruce. They wanted to see if he would notice his own daughter.

"That's what I thought." Marinette said quietly.

A few years later, Marinette had told Damian and Dick everything that had happened to her, but left some things out with her other siblings.

She told them about how she was Paris's new superhero, Ladybird, and she had a partner.

They had helped her track who it was. There were only a few people on their suspect list. They knew they were close.
