Quackity was so distracted by staring at the Onceler that he almost didn't notice when his brother said, "Get out of here. We don't welcome people who chop down trees here."

The Onceler scowled. "Why are you protective over the trees?"

The Onceler and the Lorax continued arguing while Quackity stood close by. Even when mad, the Onceler was still so hot. Quackity's face went bright red when the Onceler turned to him. "Why don't you tell your stupid brother to leave me alone!"

"Tell him to go!" The Lorax replied to his brother.

Quackity fumbled with his clothes. Though the Onceler was super hot, he agreed with his brother. Chopping down trees wasn't right. He told this to the Onceler, who headed back towards his house. "Good luck getting me to leave." He said. He glared back at the two. Though Quackity might've imagined it, he swore the Onceler looked at him for a few seconds longer than he had looked at the Lorax. Then, the door was slammed and those beautiful blue eyes disappeared behind it.

The Lorax hopped down from where he was standing. He looked furious. Quackity sat down in the grass so that he could be at the same level as his brother. "Why won't he leave?!" The Lorax huffed. "We don't want tree killers here!"

"Are you sure we really want him to leave?" Quackity wondered.

The Lorax turned to him quickly. Oh no, had he said that aloud? "Of course we want him gone! Are you crazy?"

Quackity nodded. "Yes, of course." He said. The Lorax continued muttering to himself. Quackity continued thinking of the Onceler. He couldn't like the Onceler at all. They stood for opposite things, yet the fedora man was so attractive.

What was Quackity to do?
