It didn't take long for Quackity to move the Oncelers bed to its new destination. The sleeping man was surprisingly light. He was lying on his side, and looked so peaceful... No, snap out of it! Quackity quickly shook his head to get the thoughts out of his mind.

The Lorax had refused to help, so Quackity carried one side and the little bears carried the other. It finally got to the river, and was released into the rushing waters.

Quackity, the Lorax, and the others watched as the bed drifted away. Once it turned a corner and could no longer see it, the Lorax and the bears were satisfied and walked back to where they had been sleeping. On the other hand, Quackity quickly ran down the river, following the path the bed had taken. When he saw it, still afloat, he breathed a sigh of relief.

That is, until he heard the unmistakable crashing of a nearby waterfall.

His head swiveled towards the rivers horizon. As if in a movie, the water flowed straight over the edge of a cliff. The bed was heading right towards it, and the Onceler could die. No, he would die. A drop that steep would kill him for sure.

Quackity ran down the river banks, and once he got as close to the bed as he could, he dove in. He grabbed a rock with one hand, and the Oncelers hand with the other. The snoring man fell out of his bed and into the freezing water. The bed went right over the edge.

"What are you doing?!" The Onceler screamed, once he discovered where he was. When he looked behind him and saw the cliff only a few feet in the distance, he shrieked. "Why are we in a river?!"

Though it pained him to ignore the sexy voice, Quackity didn't answer. Instead, he quickly took his hand off of the rock and grabbed another rock that was closer to the river banks. He kept doing that, until he was close enough to push the Onceler to the grass. He pulled himself up as well, and collapsed on the soft ground.

As Quackity lay shivering, the Onceler stood over him. "What the heck was that?! You were trying to kill me!"

"I saved you." Quackity said, still out of breath from nearly dying.

"You call that saving me?! You put me in a river, hoping I would drown, to get rid of me! Yeah, you kind saved me, but I'm sure your stupid brother made you!"

Quackity sat up instantly. "I would never try to get rid of you!" He protested.

The Onceler squinted angrily. "You are such a liar. I don't believe a single thing you said. Now, I'm going to bed, or did that go over the edge?" When Quackity nodded, the Onceler clenched his fists and stormed off.

As he did, Quackity called out, "You forgot this!" In his hand was the fedora. The Onceler stomped back over, snatched it, and went back in the direction towards his tent.

Quackity laid back down, staring up at the stars. He and the Onceler had held hands. Wow. Although, it was less of a romantic gesture and more of an "about to die" type one, but that didn't matter. All that mattered was that maybe, just maybe the idea of him and the Onceler dating wasn't so farfetched after all.
