Chapter 5- We Have a Visitor

"Y/N," Kai whispered into my ear. I woke up scared of the unexpected voice.  Kai and I had slept on the couch for 4 hours, the time now is 11 am.  I jumped from Kai's voice, he held me tight reassuring me that everything was ok. 

"You scared me," I said laughing. He laughed too, before kissing me.

"Morning," He said with a smirk, his lips so close to mine that I could feel his breathing.  

"Morning to you too," I said with a smile.  He kissed me again and hugged me tightly.  Kai was so gentle and playful around me, but when we were around anyone else he was back to his protective/rude self.  I think that Kai put up a front around others, but when he was around me that front was gone. 

"Kai, can I ask you a question?" I asked him.

"Of course, you can always ask me anything," Kai said with a small smile.  Gosh, he was so cute when he did that.

"Uh this is a bit forward but I am curious.  Why do you let your guard down when you around me? I mean when we are with the "group" you are tough and sly.  But when we are alone together you are kind and loving for the most part," I said with a smile.  Kai will always be Kai, but when he's around me, it's as if he has a new front.  A kind front.

"When I am around you I don't want you to be afraid of the real me, so I act kind and nice.  But the Kai you see with the "group" is the real me," He answered honestly.  

"Well, I like you both ways.  Kai, I don't want you to pretend around me.  I want you to be you when around me.  I trust you with my life quite frankly, and I hope you trust me," I said.

"I do trust you, Y/N, with my life.  I just want to be kind and nice around you because you deserve more than I can give you.  It makes me feel bad when I am rude around you, I know you deserve better than me," Kai said lowering his smile.

"Kai, you aren't less than anything I "deserve". You are everything I could ask for," I said smiling. Before he could argue I kissed him, a long and deep kiss.  I wasn't lying about what I told him, Kai was the one for me.  The one person who made everything in the world...right.  The word "love" suddenly popped into my mind.  Why was I thinking about love?  That's when it hit me...I loved Kai Parker.  Yes, it was fast for love to enter the picture, but there was no doubt in my mind.  I love Kai. 

"What are you thinking about right now Y/N?" Kai asked curiously.  Obviously, the pause in the long kiss threw him off, quite honestly, it threw me off too. 

"I um- I-," I stuttered.  Struggling to form any words.  How could I tell Kai that I loved him when we had only been together for a day.

"Y/N, tell me, please," Kai begged.

"Well um...I was just wondering what we are," I said quoting the word are with my fingers.  I lied to him. Well, I didn't lie necessarily, I just didn't tell him the whole truth.  I was thinking about whether we were dating, friends or boyfriend and girlfriend.  I chose to leave out the part that I loved him. 

"What do you mean what we are?" Kai asked.

"I mean, are we just friends still.  Or are we dating? Or are we...um...boyfriend and girlfriend?" I said while an awkward tension filled the room.  Kai didn't answer, he just stared at me in the eyes, processing his own thoughts.  He stood up, grabbed my hands and pulled me to my feet as well.  

"Y/N, would you like to be my girlfriend?" Kai asked me with a smile.  I immediately had an answer, no doubt in my mind whatsoever.

"Yes!" I said in joy.  I was so happy he had asked, he only thought about the thought of us dating for a few seconds which made me more proud of him and me.  Kai smiled and bit his lower lip, he spun in a circle before facing me again.  He ran up to me and lifted me in the air, spinning me in circles.  We laughed together before he put me back down and kissed me.  We kissed for a long time, he pulled away and our foreheads lightly touched together.  I was looking at his lips, his perfect lips, which quickly went into a smile.  I smiled back, unable to control my happiness. 

"Let's go somewhere," Kai said spontaneously.

"What, where?" I asked.  What was he planning?

"Let me take you somewhere-" Kai was saying before being interrupted.  Someone was knocking at the door.  He rolled his eyes and walked over to the door and opened it.  Someone I had never seen before was standing there, and by the looks of it, Kai didn't know who it was either.  Without saying the man snapped Kai's neck, causing me to scream.  I ran over to Kai to see if he was ok, he was dead, but would soon wake up since he was a vampire.  I stood up and faced the man, he dressed in all black leather and smelt like metal, no not metal..blood.

"What do you think you're doi-" I tried to say before he shoved a needle in my arm, putting me to sleep.  That was the last thing I remember.  I woke up, who knows how many hours later in an all grey room.  The walls were gray, the floor was grey, and there was a glass wall in front of me.  I was laying in a white hospital bed, but I was not in a hospital clearly.  I didn't know where I was.  I had been kidnapped, Kai was dead in his house, and when he wakes I won't be there.  I started to panic, screaming for help.

"Help! Someone help me, please! Please someone help!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.  I had given myself a headache after minutes of yelling.  It was no use, no one was near, or they were just not willing to help.  I heard someone walking towards my location, then I heard a button. Fog filled the room, and I suddenly felt dizzy and sleepy.  I passed out again, not waking up for a long time.
