Chapter 4
"What?!" gulat na tanong ko.
Nagtatakang napa-tingin sa akin ang direktor. "Yes, Ms. Azure. You will be endorsing the newest couple set of Treena's. Hindi po ba kayo nabigyan ng heads-up?"
Oh my god! Ang bobo mo Azure! Hindi mo binasa ng maayos ang kontrata! Bobo ka!
"Lapit pa ng konti, Ms. Azure. Ayan-konti pa... Perfect!" sabi ng direktor habang pumipitik-pitik pa. "Now I want you to stare at each other. 'Yong para bang kayo lang sa lugar na ito. I want that kind of stare."
Sinunod ko ang sinabi niya at humarap kay Rai na nakalingon na pala sa akin. I awkwardly smiled at him. He hold my wrist and settled my arm around his nape. The other one was holding the end of his shirt.
"Hindi ko na kailangang magpanggap na in love." He wriggled his eyebrows and lick his lips.
"Perfection! Ganiyan ang gusto kong klase ng titig. Grabe, parang totoo!"
Sunod-sunod ang pag-tunog ng flash at pag-ilaw ng camera. We tried to change our poses without breaking the chemistry.
Halos isang oras ang itinagal namin para mag-shoot. Inihahanda ko na ang mga dala ko dahil gusto ko nang umuwi.
"Hatid na kita?" anang boses sa likod ko.
Saglit akong napatigil bago umiling. "No need. I can handle myself. Thanks though."
"No, I insist. On the way rin naman ang apartment mo sa pupuntahan ko."
I deeply sighed before giving up. "K. Fine."
Hinintay niya akong matapos magpalit ng damit at magligpit. Sabay kaming pumunta sa kotse niya.
I gasped when Rai nearly kissed my cheeks. "Uh... I was just securing your seat belt."
The heck? Kelan pa naging ganito ka-awkward pag magkasama kami?
Nakatingin lang ako sa labas ng binta habang siya naman ay nakikita kong pasulyap-sulyap sa akin.
"If you have anything to say, say it. I am uncomfortable with your stares," I said, still leaning on my seat.
He cleared his throat. "I-I heard... You and Logan already broke up? Is that true?"
"I broke up with him but he didn't say that he want that too."
"Dahil ba sa akin?" Oo.
Humalukipkip ako at kunwaring naka-kunot ang noo. "No. I am doing that for myself and Logan. I doesn't have anything to do with you. Don't be so confident."
Saglit siyang natigilan. I think he didn't expect that kind of answer. Knowing him, alam kong alam niyang siya ang totoong dahilan kung bakit ako nakikipag-hiwalay.
"So... you still don't have proper closure then?" he asked. I nodded. "But why did I saw him last night at the club... he's almost fucking his woman last night."
Nanlaki ang mata ko. No. Logan will not do that!
"Are you saying that on purpose?" nagtitimpi kong tanong.
"Hindi."
"Logan will not do that," I said, convincing him and myself.
I cannot believe it. Ayaw ni Logan na makipag-hiwalay pero bakit ganoon?
"But I guess he just did. Look, Azure, I am not lying to you when I said that I saw him last night. Sinasabi ko 'to para sa' yo."
Instead of answering him, I just turned my head to the side and closed my eyes. I need to think.
