A COLD GUSH OF AIR hit my body once I exited the school buildings. Looking around the school area, I saw how small the leaves of the trees fell.

Letting go of the door, I began making my way down the steps towards the parking lot, to Alec's car, where he told me to wait for him. He even trusted me enough and gave me his keys so that I would get cold, considering the weather change that has been happening for the past few weeks.

Fall is coming which excites me.

I took a deep breath, letting the fresh air fill up my lungs. Realized how calming this is.

When I got to Alec's car, I fished out his car keys from my bag and unlocked the car. When I opened the car door, I felt small raindrops fall making me look up. The clouds began to come closer and build up a dark cloud, that cover the whole sky.

Smiling to myself, I got into the car so that I wouldn't get wet and closed it. I made myself comfortable and grabbed the book that I decided to read a few days ago.

'If We Were Villans' by M.L. Rio

As I began reading, raindrops drizzled down the window making calming noises. Looking up from my book, I couldn't even see out of the window due to the heavy rain.

I didn't know what to enjoy more. The rain, my book, or this quietness.

All of these ordinary things that I forget existed.

Maybe it's because nothing in my life seems normal anymore. Everything has changed.

Faded laughter was heard from the parking lot, letting me know the boys are coming.

The door on which side I was sitting was opened and in front of me stood Alec with an amused face. ''Are you okay?'' I nodded with an assuring smile.

He was happy with that answer and closed the door and then walked around the car to get to the driver's side. The boys when to their own cars and began driving ahead of us.

Alec got into the car and started the engine. I gave him his keys and smiled. ''You're soaked,'' I giggled, referring to his drenched clothes that were sticking on his body like a second layer of skin.

He let out a deep chuckle and began driving without saying anything else.

I expected to be home, reading my book while cuddling myself into a warm blanket and enjoying the rain. But no, instead of that, I'm at the Warehouse waiting for Alec to get out.

He told me he had some things to do before we get home. I was okay with it because he told me it'd take about 30 minutes.

It's been two hours.
