"WAKE UP! MIKAYLA WAKE UP!"
"She can't hear you,"
I felt someone shaking my body, sending fresh waves of pain spearing through my consciousness.
The voice pierced the deep fog swirling in my brain. Blackness surrounded me; it felt like I was floating in a starless universe, but a freezing chill was snaking throughout my body. Warning me of something dangerous. A hand is on my arm, and it roughly jostles me again. "There's not much time left. I need you to wake up. I will help you," I heard this angelic voice whispering into my ears.
I began to open my eyes. A fissure of light cracked through my never-ending darkness. As I tried to focus on the light, I still felt some shaking in my body.
''Shake her harder. We don't have time,'' I got startled when I heard another voice echo through my ears.
''Mikayla, wake up! We need you. Now,''
My eyes opened wide as the light that was shining through it vanished and a woman's face appeared. She had chocolate brown hair and black eyes.
She smiled at me.
''Hi Mikayla,'' my breathing picked up as I stared at her.
I didn't know what was going on. The only thing I noticed was that I was in a hospital room.
Out of panic, I began to move around quickly and turned my head in all directions. That's when a stinging pain hit my abdomen which made me hiss in pain.
''Hey, Hey, Hey, calm down. You're still in pain and you're wound is still healing,'' I snapped my head towards the woman who was giving me an assuring and comforting smile.
''W-Who are y-you?'' I stuttered as I tried to process what was going on. ''What's g-going on?''
''Liliana, we don't have much time anymore,'' the man said in panic while observing the door behind him.
My eyes widened as I realized what name the man said. I don't know why but I got scared and tried to back away from her but couldn't because of my pain and the fact that I was on the bed.
''No, No, don't be scared. I'm here to save you,'' she shook her hands and tried to come closer. But I gestured for her to not come closer.
I don't know her. I don't trust her.I only trust Alec.
My eyes glanced at the man behind Liliana. He was staring at me. And for a split second, I thought he smirked evilly at me.
''Listen to me, Mikayla. We don't have much time and I can't explain everything to you. But the only thing that you have to know is that Javier left The States which means we can get you out of here and bring you to safety,'' she began to explain in a calm and soothing tone.
