"Settle down, class," Mr. Sanders says, although the talking doesn't stop immediately. He waits patiently as everyone stops, then continues. "Today I am happy to announce our new student, George." He motions to the desk next to Dream, George's face turns slightly red.

George waves at him, likely unsure of what to do. He has a nervous smile planted on his face, and he watches as all of the attention is on him. He looks down quickly.

"George is from England, everyone, so make sure to treat him like he's at home. I'm sure this is a huge change for him," the teacher says, soon changing the topic.

Dream looks over at George, who seems embarrassed and, quite frankly, scared. The blonde only wants to give him a hug and tell him it's fine, but it isn't his place to do so. It's not like he remembers him anyways.

Class goes by slowly and dreadfully. Dream couldn't stop thinking about the summer and how he and George grew to be friends. He couldn't stop thinking about how that friendship seemed to have withered away, dying down to nothing at all.

His thoughts are interrupted when Mr. Sanders decides to announce a new project.

"So basically, this project will consume the whole quarter. This is the biggest assignment of the year, and it has always gone well," he says, hardly explaining the project. "I will assign you to pairs and for the rest of the class, you will read through the project information and start brainstorming. Feel free to ask me questions."

The teacher goes through and assigns pairs. It seems as if he is just lazily pairing up partners based on who is sitting next to each other. Dream nervously awaits the teacher coming over to his desk. Alas, he pairs up Dream and George.

He and George look at each other then look away as the teacher finishes his pairings. Due to the odd number of people, Sapnap and Karl are paired up with the student that sits behind George, Alex.

Alex is skipping class today, of course, probably because he hates school and only shows up for his friends. He would probably trail in later on during last period as he typically only skips first period because it's the longest. This class is homeroom and English combined into one, making it dreadfully long and super boring.

"Should we read the packet?" George says, his attention on Dream. The blonde hadn't even realized he'd been zoned out looking at George this whole time.

"Yeah, let's do that," He looks away quickly, face turning slightly red. Dream feels super on edge today. Why was I staring at George?

They read through the packet separately and Dream lets out a sigh, complaining in his head about how much he doesn't want to do this project. Not only is he already on edge about George forgetting him, or maybe pretending to forget him, but the blonde also hates English class. It has always been his worst and least favorite subject, whereas the only class he really enjoys is his computer science class, which also happens to be the shortest one.

Dream moves his desk next to George's, as everyone else is doing with their partners. This takes the Brit off guard a little and he looks at him; we're closer than I thought. "So we're basically doing a book report presentation that we have to act out at the end of the unit?" Dream says, the whole assignment looking boring to him.

The whole assignment is as follows: they must pick a story set in the past and have it read by the end of the week. Then there's a book report followed, containing an essay, multiple worksheets, and a book analysis. Next is the story rewrite, which must be rewritten in the modern day. Then finally, at the end of the quarter everyone has to act out the story.
