"You can't just come back after 17 years and expect me to be okay."

"Anyone care to tell me what year this is?" Five said his eyes focusing on the classic ol' peanut butter with marshmallow sandwhich.
"24th." Vanya answered.
"Of what?'
"March." Five sighed, "Good."
Everyone's confused on what just happened, meanwhile Number Eight just stood here looking at Five as if nothing happened.
Number Eight couldn't stand what's happening right now, she just wants to burst out and be all emotional but she can't. She doesn't want to cause a scene as everyone is still overwhelmed by what happened.
Five couldn't even glance at her. He's too hurt to see her.
"What are you doing?" Luther asked as he slams the fridge wile Five was about to open it.
"You look ridiculous, by the way." "It been 16 years, where have you been?"
EIght sighed knowing that Luther was right. "It's been longer than that." Five answered as Eight looked up to him confused.
"Where'd you go anyways?" Diego asked, "To the future, it's shit by the way."
Five's answer caught her attention. Is she been telling the truth all this time? Does her dreams have connection with what really happened?
"Called it!" Klaus raised his fingers.
"I should've listened to the old man." He said as he took a bite of his sandwhich, Eight crossed her arms knowing she's eventually going to regret what he did.
"Then how did you get back?" Allison asked, "By projecting my consciousness backwars into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists in every possible instance of time."
"That make no sense." "It would if you were smarter."
"Though I must miscalculated, that's why I look like this." He sighed, "Bet Delores would be laughing right now." He mumbled.
"How long were you gone then?" "45 years, give or take."
Eight's eyes widened as her gaze shifted into a concerned look. "So what are you saying? You're 58?"
"No, my consciousness is 58. "
The siblings were still confused as ever. Not Number Eight though, she seems intrigued.
Five's eyes shifted on the newspaper, "Guess I missed the funeral."
"How'd you know that?" Five looked at Diego frustratingly, "What part of future do you not understand?" Eight shook her head from her siblings stupidity.
"Heat failure, huh?"
"Yeah." "No."
Five looked at Diego and Luther, "Nice to see nothings changed."
"Future this, future that..." Diego sighed, "You and Eight haven't seen each other for 16 or 58 years yet you two still share the same braincells. Always talking about the concept of time and this little Number Eight here is obsessed with the world ending." Number Eight rolled her eyes as she walked away, "I don't have time for this."
Five immediately looked up when he heard her voice. He haven't hear her for some quite time.
Oh yeah, he remembers that Vanya talked about Number Eight's theories in her books. Seems like he has a partner for now. Though he still can't face her. He sighed, "I'm gonna go change."
