Hey everyone! So this chapter is super short but I didn’t want to have it just drag on so here it is. There will be more than one update today so it’ll make up for the short chapter. I hope you all enjoy it! Love, Sami <3
Chapter Five:
Saturday: February 7, 2015
Harry’s POV:
It had been a little over two weeks since we had moved to the beautiful state of New York. We resided just outside New York City and when I looked out of our apartment window I could see all of the bright lights and skyscrapers. Every time I looked at the gorgeous skyline my breath would catch and I got a wonderful feeling. Not as wonderful of a feeling as I did when I woke up and Zayn was next to me but it was still a pretty spectacular sensation. I missed our little home on the beach very much but since we moved I had stopped having nightmares and everything just felt so much better. I wasn’t feeling tense when I went outside to go shopping and I could tell that Zayn was much less stressed because of it all.
“Harry!”, I heard Zayn call out from our bedroom.
I rushed to the room with a smile on my face, “Yea Zaynie?”
“I’m gonna take a shower. I don’t want to smell like blood for our date night.”
Oh dear God why did he have to say things like that? Ew!!! I just nodded, “Ok babe. I’ll start to get everything ready.”
Zayn walked into the bathroom before turning on the shower and I heard him begin to hum. He had such a beautiful voice. I made my way to the kitchen and gasped when I realized that I forgot to buy wine when I was at the store.
I ran into the bedroom and grabbed my coat before yelling out to Zayn, “Zayn! I have to go to the liquor store on the corner! I’ll be right back!”
I heard him yell a quick, “Ok! Be careful!” before I dashed out of the door and down to the wintery streets. I put my face into my coat as the harsh wind began to blow furiously whipping my hair around in every direction. I ran as fast as I could to the liquor store that was only about a block or two from our apartment. The sidewalk was slippery from the snow that was covering it and I had to try very hard for me not to fall on my butt. I let out a sigh of relief as I opened the door to the little store and stepped in. The bell above the door let out a little ‘ding dong’ and I waved to the cashier that I had seen practically every day since moving in.
I walked down the aisle with the wine and paced back and forth to search for the perfect one. Finally I spotted one that Louis had bought before that was actually quite delightful. I picked it up off of the shelf and went up to the counter to pay for it.
Lydia, the cashier, smiled at me, “Date night huh?”
I nodded, “Yup!”
“You guys are the cutest couple I have ever seen.”
I shook my head, “We’re nowhere near as cute as you and your boyfriend. What was his name again?”
She blushed, “Ed. I think he’s gonna pop the question soon.” I could see the look of excitement on her face as she scanned the bottle of wine and put it in a tall brown bag.
“That’s so exciting! You better give me the details!”, I pulled some cash out of my wallet and handed it to her.
“Oh you know I will!”
I grabbed the bag and said as I walked to the door, “Keep the change!”
“Thank you Harry! Have a good night and be careful out there!”
I just gave her a quick nod and made my way out of the store. I shivered as the cold air hit me once again. It wouldn’t be so bad if the sun was still up but since it had gone down an hour or so ago it was a bit cold.
I turned the corner to get back home and all of a sudden there was a cloth over my face. I dropped the wine and tried to fight back but the attacker had a good grip on me. There was no fighting back here. I still fought hard though but within seconds my vision began to blur and there was nothing but darkness.
