Chapter Fifteen:

February 25, 2015

Harry's POV:

The four of us sat around in the living room together as we thought about the events that had happened only a few hours ago. Louis and Niall were sitting on the couch together while I sat cross legged on the floor watching Zayn's aura pace back and forth. I was sure that my raven haired boyfriend was furrowing his brow in a confused state as he tried to find the right way to say the words that were on the tip of his tongue. There was no tension in the room per say but it was obvious that nobody wanted to speak until Zayn did.

"So you're telling me that that mess out there-", he stopped in his tracks to what I assumed was to point at the backyard. "was your doing?"

I knew that he was looking at me but honestly I didn't know what the hell happened out there. All I did was shrug and watched as the glow continued to move back and forth across the small room.

Louis spoke up, "Look Zayn I don't know how the hell it happened. I was training him to fight and he got mad so he went outside to cool off and all of a sudden I felt the ground shaking. I ran out to find him and he was just out there standing on a tiny piece of land that was surrounded by nothing. Like the ground just disappeared around him."

Zayn groaned, "And how did he get back in here then?"

"I walked."

I could feel their gazes on me so I put my head down and played with my fingers. Zayn snickered, "You walked huh? You really expect me to believe that you walked back over here?" I knew that he didn't mean to sound like he thought I was foolish but he did and I honestly wouldn't blame him if he thought I was lying to him. This whole thing was weird. Then again my whole life was weird these days.

Louis sighed, "He's telling the truth Zayn."

"You're serious?", he now sounded dumbfounded. "How in the hell did he just walk back over here? You see it out there! The place is wrecked! I probably couldn't even jump that far! This house was almost sucked into that damn canyon!"

I shrugged, "I don't know how I did it. Louis just told me to walk towards him. To focus."

"You what?!", his voice made me flinch. "You tried to kill my boyfriend?!" Once I realized he was talking to Louis I let out a sigh of relief. I didn't mean to get Louis in trouble but it was better him than me. Even though Zayn didn't scare me I still didn't like to be the cause of his anger. He was quite on the intimidating side when he had to be.

Louis got up off of the couch and backed away from Zayn, "Hear me out before you try to kill me!" Zayn's aura stopped and Louis continued to speak, "He was stuck there and I figured that if he could do that to the ground then he could do other things as well. That was the only thing that I could think of at the time and I wouldn't have put him in danger Zayn. You know that I wouldn't have him do something that I didn't think he could do."

Zayn sighed, "Alright alright. Let's just try to figure out more about this." My boyfriend walked over and sat on the floor next to me before grabbing my hand in his. "What do you think this is exactly?"

Niall spoke for the first time since getting home, "I bet it's some kind of manipulation. When I was turned I was looking into all of these different powers that were possible to have and that one caught my eye. As far as I could tell not a lot of beings have that power so most don't know how to control it. All I really know about it is that it's extremely rare and that usually it takes quite a while to learn how it works."

I think the three of us were quite stunned by Niall speaking up. He wasn't exactly shy but he usually didn't chime in when it came to things like this. He usually just sat next to Louis and agreed with what everyone was saying.

"That's good. Yea.", Zayn squeezed my hand. "Now we have something to go off of. I don't know much about it either. In fact I've never even encountered someone with that sort of ability before. Have you Lou?"

"No. Liam used to tell me stuff about it but even he didn't know that much. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. Probably just have to figure everything out for ourselves."

I nodded, "Let's do it then."

"What? Babe you should really get some rest."

I shook my head, "I don't need rest. Just let me feed and I'll be fine. The only way that we're gonna be able to get anything done is if I try to do it myself. I want to train and I want to be as useful as all of you so let's just get to it."

Louis hopped up from his spot next to Niall, "Alright then! I'll get you some hydration!"

Zayn's POV:

It didn't take Harry long to feed and get back outside. With my help guiding him clear of the canyon that he had created we began to see what exactly this was all about. The sun was beginning to rise since we had been at this for a few hours now and Harry was starting to get frustrated because he couldn't seem to make anything happen. I figured that it wouldn't happen this soon but Harry was hell bent on trying to get himself to make progress.

He groaned and threw himself on the ground, "Why can't I do anything?!"

I walked over to him and placed my hand on his knee, "You can't expect to be able to do this in just a few hours Hazza. These kinds of things are difficult."

"I know but I just want to be able to do something for myself for once. I can't protect myself, or hunt for myself! Hell I can't even walk by myself without running into a wall or tripping over a rock!"

I rubbed circles into his back, "And that's fine. Maybe your blindness is a little setback for you but that's ok. We have time to practice. This is why we moved out here. So you could take all of the time that you needed to feel comfortable with your new lifestyle."

He sighed, "I know. I know."

"Now how about we go inside and get some rest? You could use it. You've been working hard for hours."

"Can I just try one more time? I promise that we can go in after that." I nodded and helped him up off of the hard ground. I stepped aside as I watched him concentrate on the earth around him. He put his hands out in front of him and after a few moments of silence he sighed, "Damnit."

He kneeled on the soil and as I came closer to him my eyes grew wide. "Harry. Can you feel that?"

He didn't respond for a few moments then began to smile as he felt the air around him. I watched in amazement as little water droplets came up out of the earth and surrounded him. It was as if it was raining in reverse. The balls of water stayed frozen in the air and when Harry got up they moved with him.

"Woah.", was all I could get out as I watched Harry move his hand around controlling the liquid.

The drops only remained for a few seconds before falling back down around him but that alone was amazing.

"Harry, that was..."

He ran up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, "I did it!"

I nodded and hugged him back still completely shocked, "Harry this is even more amazing than we thought. I don't think it's just Earth that you can control. I think it's all four elements."
