"you know, i'm just realizing how tall you are." i say to amara as we walk through the halls to photography.

"yep that's why my mom kept me in dance, wanted me to know to use these long legs." she says and i laugh. we make it to photography and my hand leaves hers.

"hello everyone, oh and welcome back ruel!" mrs johnson says and i give a small smile. "projects are due soon so start finishing those up please!"

*lunch*

today was my first day back since me and amara became...well a thing. we walked into the lunch room together and i was ready for all of the questions.

"hello you lovebirds!" anna says with a little smirk. i see a blush grace amara's face as she sits in front of me at the table.

"you know, i'm really glad you guys are dating finally. it was torture watching you guys drool over each other." rio says and bites into a carrot. i laugh and shake my head.

we laugh a little longer and i'm glad it's not awkward or anything. after a little while i speak up.

"oh guys i have a show next week and obviously you are all invited, with free tickets." i quietly say and see everyone nod.

"aw cool you haven't performed in forever." riley says and i give her a small smile.

i never talk to my friends about my music unless there's a show. i don't like talking about the whole music thing at all actually, but everyone enjoys the shows so i always tell them when there's one.

"guys we should go out today! we haven't had much time to hang out recently." riley says and everyone at the table nods.

"we're did you wanna go?" amara asks.

"ooh there's that new outdoor mall by the beach we could check out." milo says.

"ah yay perfect! ruel you in?" riley asks me.

"always." i respond.

we talk for a bit more before the bell rings. we all get up and head to our classes.

schools finally over and i make my way over to the dance room to meet amara.

"helloooo." i sing when i see her and she smiles big. "c'mon we're gonna meet them there." i say and grab her hand.

"so show huh?" she asks and i smile.

"yes ma'am, care for join me to my very own show?" she laughs.

"of course! ah this is exciting, i've never seen you perform!" she says and i laugh.

we reach my car and get in.

she snatches the aux and i eye her, she just giggles and begins to play music. she played a taylor swift song and started singing quietly and looked out the window. i looked over at her and felt my heart swell.

you love her.

so fucking much.

finally we reached the little mall and meet everyone.

"you guys wanna eat first?" riley asks and we all nod. there was a lot of people here, i guess because it was brand new.

we ate at this little cafe that was part of the mall. it was cute and the girls ended up taking some pictures.

we finished and started walking to some of the shops. we were all walking at chatting when 'here comes the sun' by the beatles started playing. amara grabbed my hand and started swaying back and forth as we walked. i spun her around once and laughed.
