ORIGINALLY, TECHNO AND TUBBO had found the library. It was a cold, almost freezing, winter night when they had stumbled upon the vacant library. The two had seen it from across the alleyway, observing as to how it was abandoned and boarded up. It was the perfect place, empty to where no one would come in and out and in plain sight to where it wouldn't stick out. When the two had returned bringing with them the good news, Tommy and Azalea were already prepared to leave and head to the library. The four of them had little to no things at all, everything they owned either forgotten or left behind at the cavern they once stayed at. So when Tommy began insisting they leave that very instant. There were no protests to the thought, the night was getting chiller and soon enough they would fall ill if in the open air for much longer.

It was only when they entered the capital did things take a turn for the worse. Guards had just then finished their shift transition and the numbers of which they came were much larger than before. Instead of a guard at every other corner there were now two per every road. This proved to be an obstacle as the library was located at the corner of two roads where the torchlight was shining. Anxious and concerned beyond comparison, Azalea found herself fidgeting with the necklace around her neck.

The guards marched up and down the roads, each one holding the wretched black and red 'X' engraved shields of the nation's new ensignia. Azalea felt the feeling of disgust creep into her mind as she watched the guards march past the alley the four were hiding in. Techno and Tubbo were clinging against one wall and Azalea and Tommy against the other. The duos were facing one another, having silent conversations on what to do. Techno had turned to Azalea, signalling that the moment the guards walked past the alley one more time he would run to the alley where the library was. For there was a door in it, a side door that would get them into the library most possibly unnoticed and unheard.

As the clanging of the metal boots against the stone roads passed, Techno took his chance and ran. His hood covered him from his head to his feet as he crouched and scurried across the dimly lit road. As fast as he could be seen he was hidden in the shadows of the alleyway. He clung to the wall, motioning for one of them to go next before the guards made their second march up the road.

Azalea motioned for Tommy to run by next, to which he brought his hood up tighter around him and ran. His tall and lanky form made it easier for him to get across in less time. Azalea glanced out of the alleyway to see the guards reaching their end of the road. In a rush, Techno nodded at her to go and she grabbed a hold of Tubbos hand. It was more efficient if the two went at the same time so no one would be left behind. In a blur, the two ran across the road, making sure their hoods covered them from their faces all the way to their feet. Once in the alley, Techno began working on unlocking the door.

The guards were far from the library, just now making their way up the road to return to their post. Techno fidgeted with the lock, struggling to unhinge it to let them in. A string of curses left under his breath as his temper and patient grew thin with the lock. An impatient grumble was what drew the line and he punched the doorknob in force. It let out a creak as the door opened due to the brute force used by Techno and his fist. As they all filed into the library, Tubbo had closed the door behind them all and locked it from the inside once more somehow.
