Ruxomar

Layla Lancaster

The Comet Force's ship that we were held in wasn't meant to be landed, it was a transport ship after all. So when they were transporting me to a smaller vessel meant for landing on the Force's headquarters planet of Ruxomar it was the first time I've seen Dawn, Locke and Magnum since we came aboard.
They had the four of us walk in formation all hand cuffed and shackled.

"So you told them everything about the Cannon? And our mission?" I asked over to Dawn, who walked directly to my right, while Locke and Magnum walked behind us.

"Yeah, wait, did you?" Dawn asked. I nodded.

"They offered me a deal to sell the rest of you out, and I get what we did was illegal, but my brother missed the point of Blackheart is coming to destroy this entire solar system" I mumbled.

"Yeah, got the same vibe from him when he questioned me" Dawn answered.

"Asshole" Locke grumbled.

"Shut up!" A Guard ordered from behind Locke. It didn't take long after that for us to be transported down to the planet, and then directly into the Comet Force's holding cells in their main compound. I remember walking the long quartz hallways when I was a kid, before Mom and Dad passed away we visited here several times.

Looking back I can't say why we'd be here, Mom and Dad were criminals, what business did they have here? Maybe they had friends that worked here or something, I know I do. Although can't say it's done much for me in this situation. The Comet Force brought us to a holding cell in the basement, and surprisingly placed all four of us in the same cell. It was a large concrete room, the bars were steel, to our backs was a wall and a small window, and in the corner was a toilet. There were also two sets of bunk beds laying on either side of the room, both bolted into the ground of course. It was nothing fancy, and everyone here could see everything we did, but for a holding cell it was rather solid.

They un-cuffed us and slammed the door shut, I looked up and down the hallway we were in, every other holding cell was empty.

"Be quiet, for your sake" The guard spoke locking the door and walking down the hall to where he was stationed to wait.

"Well, this blows" Locke spoke sitting down on the bottom bunk, Magnum climbed up to the top. I watched Dawn, as she frantically started grabbing the bars along the cell and pulling, she went up and down the room.

"Just my luck eh? I get the chance to be paid by Max Withered, regardless of the pay could you imagine the amount of people who'd pay just to talk with me? Zade is a little bitch but even I've heard of the boy with the katana who follows Ex Talon around like a lost puppy" Locke rambled "Rich we would've been Magnum, Rich I tell you!"

"Dawn" I spoke watching her as she pulled on the bunk bed, and then on the barred windows.

 "What'cha doing?"

"Trying to find a weak point, all the cells have them" Dawn answered.

"Not these bad boys, trust me, with the Comet Force the only way out is through the system" Locke spoke up.

"He's not wrong, they check these things everyday. It's protocol" I explained.

"Well, look. I'm worried about Ex, what if he's dead? Or missing? We may never see him again Layla, and then Zade. God, I hope he's okay"

"Zade is fine Dawn, they didn't find him" I answered.

"Well, just cause they didn't find him don't mean he's okay Layla, I bet he'll try something real stupid and get himself caught. We'll see him soon. Plus, with any luck we'll see Ex too. Assuming he's onboard the Kraken with the giant gun coming right this way to blow this whole planet sky high" Locke snarked
