CHAPTER 8: THE UNEXPECTED YEAR

Y/N: Its all China's fault. Who asked them to eat all that shit! The new year just started. I don't want that thing in our country.

Nischay: What can we do? We can only hope.

Y/N: Hmmmm

Abhishek: Hey, did you hear?

Nischay: Oh My God! Do you even know how to knock?!

Abhishek: Oh! I have to knock now to come inside your room?!

Nischay: Its called MANNERS!

Y/N: Shut up you both! Abhishek, you were saying...?

Abhishek: Ya, I was saying that we have our first Corona Virus positive in India.

Y/N and Nischay: What?!!?

Abhishek: Yeah. She is from Kerala. She came back from China. She was a student in one of their institutions there. After a few days of her return, she started having these symptoms like fever, cold, throat pain and all. So she decided to give it a try and she came out to be positive.

Y/N: Why did she even come back? She could have stayed there.

Nischay: Where is she now?

Abhishek: She is currently in isolation in one of their Hospitals.

Nischay: Hmm. Hoping she would recover soon.

Abhishek: Ya.

Y/N: I have this gut feeling that this year is not gonna be good.

It turned out to be true. As days passed, the number of people whom were covid positive increased. Finally during the month of March, the whole country went into lockdown. The worse was yet to come.

Y/N: I told you! This year is gonna be bad.

Nischay: Ya, but I think this is our year.

Y/N: Why is that?

Nischay: Look at us now, we are talking over the phone right? We can't see each other now. Similarly, during the lockdown, the only source of entertainment for people is either phone or TV or both because there is no theatres nor malls, nothing! So they are gonna watch YouTube and everything. Not only YouTube but other socials too.

Y/N: You are right. This may be our year.

Nischay: You are so close to 10M now. Carry just crossed 10M. Tanmay sir gave him a surprise. Did you see that video? It's amazing. There was a whole band and everything.

Y/N: Ya....

Nischay: What happened? Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to....

Y/N: Its ok. Btw I have to go now. I got to shoot a video.

Nischay: Oh no! You are going because of me, right?

Y/N: No, I'm not. I really have to go. Bye.
