Raven's POV
I wake up freezing. My whole body is damp and my eyelids are droopy and heavy from a lack of sleep. My vision clears up and I look around at the unfamiliar setting. Where am I? What the fuck!? Why am I on the quidditch pitch?
Suddenly the events from yesterday rush back to me and my emotions differ as each memory comes back. After all of them, I am left with anger. Draco left me here all night. He didn't even think to take me back to my dorm. Lucky I didn't get hypothermia.
"Petrificus Totalus" someone yells and I feel my whole body freeze. My limbs are bound together and I'm unable to move. I guess that is the point of the spell. Someone comes over to me but tiredness causes my eyes to close before they come into view. I wake up again in an foreign environment. It's dark and for a moment I thought that my eyes were still closed.
"Good morning Miss Riddle" someone's voice echoes in the darkness. That sounded strangely like... Snape? "Yes it is me" wait how did he-? "I'm a legilimens". "Okay, but why am I here?"
"You have been brought here by your fathers orders" "he needs you to do some tasks for him" he drones.
"I certainly won't, I'm not a death eater, and I will NEVER work for my dad" I spit. "Well Raven, I'm afraid you have no choice".
Snape lets me apparate back to school from wherever the fuck we were. It's still early in the morning and I go to find Draco to shout at him for leaving me. Half an hour later I still haven't found him. Oh well, when I do he's gonna know about it.
Instead for wasting my time I go to find Cedric and clear up the Yule Ball situation. I get into the Great Hall and half the students are in there as its only lunch. Heading over to the hufflepuff table I catch Cedric sitting with a ravenclaw, Cho, I think. "Hey Diggory, got a minute?" I ask "yeah sure" he gets up and gives Cho a kiss on the cheek. What was that about?
"Remember when you asked me to go to the ball with you?" I inquire. "Yeah, how could I forget?" He answers sweetly. "Well, I'm going with Draco and I wanted to apologise" Cedric meets my gaze and replies "I thought as much, that's why I asked Cho, she said yes" he informs me and a bright red blush scatters his cheeks. "Oh well, congrats! I best be off then" I say and start waking away. I know its wrong but I was hoping that Cedric would at least be a bit upset that he couldn't go with me. I look back at him and see that he is laughing with Cho and some of their friends. I guess its. Good that he's happy though. He looks over at me and sees me staring and a frown overtakes his face. I quickly look away and resume walking.
Next up, Hermione.
Reluctantly I trudge over to the gryffindor table and spot Harry, Ron and Hermione sat together. "Hey Mione, can we talk?" She looks up at me and I see that she's not looking as pale as before. Ron looks at me protectively and I give him a death stare. Prick.
Hermione walks over to me and I make sure that we stand at a distance from the boys so they can't hear our conversation. "So, the Yule Ball. I'm going with Draco, do you have a date?" I rush out. She smiles at me understandingly "not yet, but I think Ron might ask me". I look over at Ron and he's shoving food into his big mouth. Delightful. I don't know what Hermione sees in him but I guess she seems happy. "Okay, I'll keep my fingers crosses for you" I lie and walk to my own table.
Why is everyone finding happiness without me? I should be happy for them but I'm not. I'm jealous. I can't explain why, I have everything I've ever wanted, Draco. Maybe its my underlying fear of not being needed, loved, being discarded. Just like my father did to me when I was younger.
