It was the day I saw you walking on the sidewalk of our village. I wasn't sure if it was you or was I just hallucinating? Nevertheless, I was still unconsciously staring at you because you were the guy that my friends have been craving for, the guy that a girl can have a crush on. You weren't popular nor unknown. You weren't handsome nor ugly. You weren't rich nor poor. You were just an average and decent guy that everyone knows you of.

I was curious about you since 2 out of my 5 friends semi-liked you without them actually knowing you. They just liked you because you were Timothy. I have been teasing them whenever you pass by our hallway. Coughing, pushing, and half shouting your name and my friend's name together. The usual things that best friends do.

One Sunday morning, I was getting ready to attend a mass at the church. Inside the church, I saw him again. I wasn't sure if he lives around the village or just visiting our local church but, I was avoiding him at all cost. I didn't want him to see me because for sure he would know me as that "annoying girl who teases her friends with him" so I hid. Unfortunately, at the end of the mass. We both went up to the priest to greet him and we awkwardly stared at each other and I immediately turned and walked away as fast as I could :))

The next morning was Monday. A new week and a new set of assignments to do. But, at least, summer was around the corner. On the way to my classroom, I was looking at my phone and slightly looking at where I was going just in case I would bump into someone. Moments later, I looked up and saw him, Timothy, going in the opposite direction as I. So, we met at the center and I went to my right side and he did too. He went to his left side and I did too. This repeated 2-3 times and then I stopped and made way for him to go and we both said sorry. It was just so awkward that I could die then and there.

Hours later, it was break time finally. I went to lunch with my two best friends. I told them how I saw Timothy and my encounters with him like how I saw him at church and how I saw him this morning. They laughed and laughed about it even my friend that had a semi-crush with. She wasn't really into him just thinks that he's attractive and all. We three barely fought and would always talk about our lives and how stressful school is. We would always get along and would wait for each other after classes. However, today they weren't in our usual spot and I had to go home alone.

I took the bus and had to walk home when it stopped at my village. Walking home, I saw familiar faces like the maids, drivers of our neighbors, policemen, and different workers and greeted them with a smile. I have a soft heart for old people. I can talk to them comfortably and make a whole conversation with them but when it comes to teenagers I become awkward as hell. I was almost home but then a car drove past me and when it did I saw a guy with a familiar face inside the car. yup, it's him, Timothy.
