HAZE (On Hold)

Part 70

6 months later 

Hailee lays in bed with her arm wrapped around Jade and kisses the back of her girlfriend's shoulder before getting up and heading into the bathroom to complete her morning routine. 

Returning she finds Jade watching her every move and smiles, "Morning." 

"Morning. You do realize the alarm isn't set to go off for another half an hour, right?" 

Hailee nods, "Yeah, but I couldn't sleep anymore; I'm too excited." 

Jade laughs, "Babe, it's not you getting married today, it's your Dad and Chelsea." 

"I know, but, I'm just really happy, you know?" 

Jade lifts the covers revealing her naked body to Hailee, "How about you come back to bed and we can both be happy?" 

"You don't fight fair, Jadey!" 

Jade begins laughing, "Who said anything about fighting? I'm more interested in love or in this case, making love." 

Hailee looks over to ensure that the door to her room is still locked before rejoining Jade in bed until the alarm sounds out.

A few hours later and the Zane mansion is a flurry of last-minute activity as the tents are set up on the back grass along with the tables, chairs and even the dance floor. The florist's trucks arrive shortly there afterwards and they get to work arranging and fluffing and doing whatever else it is they do along with the caterers commandeering the kitchen from Anna. 

Hailee watches the number of people working around her and is in awe that Chelsea along with the wedding planner was able to execute the almost last-minute venue change seamlessly or so it seems. 

After planning the event for the better part of a year, security was deemed to be an issue at their chosen location the Sequoia Mansion. Instead, the wedding of the year or so People magazine was calling it, was moved to the confines of the Zane mansion and grounds where everything could be more closely monitored.

"Haze?" Hailee breaks out her trance when she hears J.J. calling for her. 

"I'm here, J.J. what's up?" 

"Mommy told me to come and find you and Jade so that you could get your hair and makeup done." 

Hailee makes a face towards J.J., "I really don't like having my hair and makeup done. It was enough spending the day at the spa and getting manis and pedis." 

J.J. shrugs, "The stuff they sprayed my hair with smelled yucky!" 

Hailee lets out a laugh, "I'm sure it did, but you look absolutely beautiful. Can you do me a favour and let Jade know; she's in my room. I'm just going to give Dylan a quick call and find out where she's at with Mr. Zander and then I'll make my way to get fancied up." 

"Okay." 

Hailee watches as Julie makes her way up the stairs and to her room. Looking at her phone, she notices that Dylan hasn't read her last message yet, inquiring as to where they are and she grows even more concerned. 

Seeing Anna busying herself she makes her way over to her, "Anna, have you heard from Dylan?" 

"Charles mentioned that Dylan had requested they make a stop at the cemetery to lay flowers before coming here; so I'm assuming that's where they are." 

Hailee thought of Dylan laying flowers and realized that she herself had been neglecting to visit her Mom and sister. 

"Are you okay, Ms. Hailee?"
