"Kat! Katsuki please help! Don't leave me!"

Your voice rang through Bakugou's head as he searched his surroundings for the origin. The beating of his heart could be felt from a mile away as his adrenaline increased from the terrified sound in your voice. Everything around him was mainly dark, nothing surrounded him. A single dull light shone from above, the rays it emitted distorted as if he was under water. His movements too acted in a similar manner, moving in slow motion. You called out to him again, this time the sound came from beneath him. As he focused his gaze, he saw you struggling, struggling to make your way up.

"Y/n? Y/n!" Katsuki screamed, or he tried to.

His voice was mute, getting caught in his throat. Your screams played through his ears as you were dragged into the darkness, your arms clawing their way through nothing towards his direction. He too, tries to kick and make his way down to you. But an unknown force keeps him in his place. He tries to scream once more, but his voice and the sounds of you struggling are dull and quiet. You disappear from his sight into the dark abyss Bakugou is suspended above. Along with you gone, his ability to breathe disappears to. The air refuses to enter his lungs. He chokes every time he tries to take a breath. The anxiety of you being out of his sight and the dizziness from the lack of air become too great, his body reacts as it should.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Gasping uncontrollably followed by painful hacking coughs, he finds himself sitting up in his hospital bed. His hands are balled in the sheets, the heat radiating from them, he was sure they would catch fire at any moment. His coughing soon came to a halt and his chest heaved a little less. He ran his fingers through the spike that lay atop his head, unsticking the pieces that were glued to his forehead due to sweat. He growled out in frustration, not understanding what bullshit his head just made him endure. His nightmares usually involved his voice being gone and feeling as if he was being suffocated. However, never in his life had he had a dream like that, not a nightmare like that. He's never had a nightmare that pertained to you, even in the slightest. That's what scared him the most.

Bakugou carefully pulled himself to the edge of his bed, being mindful of the soreness of his chest from the surgery the day before. He reached over the railing equipped next to him and brought the water the nurses had left for him to his mouth. He chugged it quickly before returning to his resting position, laying on his right side, arm tucked under his pillow with the other curled into chest. His crimson eyes were forced shut in an attempt to go back to sleep. However, to his dismay, his drowsiness had already worn off which only irritated him further. The next hour was filled with flipping of pillows, shifting of sheets, and kicking off blankets. HIs energy was only building, sleep at this point was impossible. He glanced around for a clock in the room, trying to figure out what ungodly hour it was. Once he had realized there wasn't one placed in the room, he rolled over once more to reach out for his phone. Bakugou lifted his head slightly and let his phone light his face. It took a moment for the numbers to focus in his view. 3:02. Great, he only got around 6 hours since he fell asleep around 8:30 last night. Katsuki was about to put down his phone, but something caught his attention before the screen went dark. Bakugou turned the screen on and there was definitely something there. A notification from 8:45 pm yesterday.
