Warning: This is an ancient story of mine... Like 2019-2020. But I have decided to revamp it and bring it back while keeping the art. So, enjoy it... if you can:
1) I will not show the "looks" or, in better wording, the appearance of Y/N. I don't see the point of it, but people still do it.
2) If I make a mistake, please tell me. I don't mind criticism.
Key:
Y/N: Your name.
F/C: Favorite color.
S/C: Skin color.
E/C: Eye color.
H/C: Hair color.
That'll be all. Read on!

Emma: "Everyone! Wake up!"
Commotion fills the room. The early morning light streams through the large windows, casting a soft glow on the wooden floor. I groan in annoyance, pulling the blanket over my head while I lay on my back. The sounds of children stirring and murmuring fill the air, a familiar cacophony in the old orphanage room with its creaky floorboards and worn furniture.
Emma: "Oh no, you don't, Y/N!"
I roll my eyes and stay under my blanket, trying to block out the noise. Suddenly, I hear a familiar voice. Phil? He's not supposed to be in here.
Phil: "Up!"
Y/N: "Wh- OOF!" I instantly shoot up from the pain and clutch my stomach. Phil must've jumped on me.
Phil sits in front of me on my bed while Emma stands outside. They both smirk at me, their expressions smug and playful. The room is dimly lit, with the morning sun just beginning to peek over the horizon, casting long shadows on the walls adorned with children's drawings and papercrafts.
I groggily roll my eyes as the two run off, exiting the room with laughter echoing in the hallway.
I stand up and take a look around. My bed is uneven and pushed off to one side, clearly indicating my status as the "extra." The number of kids in this orphanage is uneven – 39 children in total.
"Emma is kind of annoying..." I think to myself, though I can't help but admit she's a big help. I've never really been close with the others she hangs out with, except for Ray.
Growing up, they've just been people I saw in the house. The orphanage, with its high ceilings and the smell of old wood and baked bread, has always been a place of comfort, even if I wasn't the type to play games. I preferred sticking to books, finding solace in the quiet corners of the library. But they were still my siblings.
But when I do play, I win every time...
The three of them – Emma, Ray, and Norman – are pretty much inseparable. So, Ray going to meet with Norman and Emma often results in me tagging along. After a while, I became their best friend, their closest sibling. Three... no, four peas in a pod.
Staying here has taught me a lot of things. And everyone here is my family, whether I love or hate them.
"Yo." I turn to see Ray. He purposefully bumps my shoulder as he walks past me, a smirk on his lips. "It's time for breakfast."
Then, Don does the same, playfully nudging me as he follows Ray. I sigh, now the only one left in the room. Don was another one of my close friends, always energetic and ready with a joke.
