Chapter 5

Danni P.O.V

I start to wake up and realize that I was in someone else's bed. I turn my head to the left as a door opens, but I turned too fast because now everything's a blur. A mans voice starts to speak. " Hey I took you back to my place. You were really high." as I start to gain my vision again I see it's Toby. I start to speak. " Well at least I'm not seriously hurt, right ?" I look at him and start to laugh,but he looks at me with certainty that the night before was an unusual night for me. " Danni ...." he sits down on the bed. " You told me a lot last night that I don't think you remember. " I roll my eyes and begin to get up and walk out, but he grabs my arm to pull me back. " I don't want to talk about."
" Well we have to talk about it Danni, you said you wouldn't mind if you were dead." he makes me look in his eyes that are so filled with anger from the insides of him he can't control it for me. " You need to stop this you hear me Danni !!?" He screams " We are not losing you. Do you hear me ??!" At this moment I start to realize how much weight I'm putting on my friends, Jess, Toby, and everyone really cares. I start to full on sob and begin to go limp. Toby sees and holds me, while I cry. " I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry." I really have nothing else to say, so I sit in his lap and look out the window and watch the sky turn from gold to blue as the day goes on. I miss that sweet gold color of the sky it's so bold and beautiful and it has a purpose. I wish I was that gold in the sky.

Toby's P.O.V
I look at Danni and watch her fall back asleep. She looks so peaceful, her black hair floats around her face like water as her snow like skin rest on mine. Danni means way to much to me to loose over something as stupid as this. I see that it's already noon and Danni starts to stir. " Hey." she says as her eyes pour into my green ones.
" Can we pretend like none of this happened today ?"
" Danni I can't just forget what you said at the bonfire okay ?"
" No it's not okay. " I can see Danni start to get mad. " I don't want your pity Toby. I know how this works, everyone's going to treat me like I'm different because they know my problems and they feel sorry for me. I don't need that." she stands up from my lap leaving me with no warmth. " I not trying to pity you."
" Well it sure as hell looks like it. " And with that she walks out the door leaving me sad for her which is exactly what she doesn't want. I don't chase after her because I know that's what Danni doesn't want right now. So for now I sit at my window looking outside and I watch the clouds turn grey with water pouring out of them as lighting strikes. I notice how Danni is like a storm she can be loud of noxious and even scary, but at the same time she's gentle and soft like rain droplets.
