Chapter Five, Part One - The Test

Stretch and Shift didn't really listen to what the guy on the stage was saying. They didn't even bother to learn his name, even though it was impossible to miss. Stretch fell asleep after three minutes of of the guy talking and Shift stared off into space before falling asleep as well.

They were both woken up from this guy yelling at someone for mumbling. They looked at each other, trying to figure out what was going on. "And you two! How are you sleeping through this? If you think this is a joke you can both leave!"

Shift and Stretch blinked at him. "I'm going back to sleep. I don't wanna-" Stretch's head hit the table as he fell back asleep. Shift yawned.

"Now. What where you talking about?" She looked up at the male who was yelling at her. "Have you really been yelling at me this whole time. I was clearly not listening to you."

"I was talking about how you two are sleeping through this-"

"No what. Shut up. You're are causing more of a disturbance than the people you're yelling at! Us sleeping hasn't bothered anyone here. The boy simply muttering while someone who is as loud as him-" Shift pointed to the person on the stage. "-talks, not many people can hear him. So sit down and shut up!" At some point Shift had stood up. Without opening his eyes, Stretch pulled her back down into her seat.

The over male sat down, red with embarrassment. Shift chuckled, so did a few of the boys in the room. She rested her head on the desk and went back to sleep, as she was already bored again. She didn't really care what the test was going to be like. She just wanted the main part of the test to start at that point. And she knew Stretch was no different.
