It feels like only yesterday that i threw my cap out into the sky along with the class I graduated with. Oh wait, that was yesterday. I was still so excited that i finally made it, it's over, and now i can finally go on with the next chapter in my life. It was the last day I would spend in this house...because tonight, i'm leaving for college and going off on my own. But i'm so damn nervous, what if I don't meet any friends? I mean, I know it's not that important to make friends, because school work is much more important. Still, i'm nervous and i'm not so great at making new friends. I'm a little shy to be honest.
I looked around my room for the last time. It felt so bigger since it was basically empty. Only thing left was my dresser and my bed. I smiled, carry the last box to my car. Dad wasn't home to see me off, but I just pretended he was, my mom stood in the door way of my room and smiled at me. "Wow, sweetie, I will miss you so dearly." My mother gave me a hug, the box in between us, I fought the tears that were about to leak from my sockets. "I will miss you so much, Mom. Take care of yourself." I couldn't help but tear up more. "Dear, don't worry about me. Okay? I will be fine. You get going. I will tell your father you left when he gets back..." She slightly smiled and lead me to the front door and opened the door for me. "Alright mom, I will. See you soon. Love you." I kissed her cheek, and placed the box in the passenger seat next to me. I walked to the opposite side of my car to the drivers seat. And there I was headed to my new destination.
Pulling up in the Universities parking lot. I opened the door to my car and scoped out the are. Wow, such a large Campus. I finally realized this wasn't highschool anymore. This was real life. I went to the trunk and looked at all the bags I had. Then I realized something else, Crap.. I don't have anything to carry all of these at once. Behind me was someone, a female, maybe about 5'8 slim, and athletic looking. Curly hair pulled back into a low ponytail, basket ball shorts and a t-shirt with some nice black and white J's. "Hey, you need some help with your bags?" I turned around and saw her. We locked eyes for just a second. and I looked away, then feeling a little weird, I quickly responded. "U-uh, yeah! That would be great, thank you so much..." I looked at her again. "Oh, my names Alexa, but call me Lex. That's what I go by." She pulled out her hand for me to take. I took her hand and we shook hands. So your old school, huh? "I'm Alicia nice to meet you, Lex."
Helping me carry my bags, we head to the main entrance. "So, wheres your dorm number?" She asked me. Holding two of my bags, while I hold the other two. "Umm, dorm 302" I looked at her. Her eyes lit up, and she slightly smirked. "Well, looks like we are roomies too! Isn't that a coincidence" I looked at her in a little disbelief then smiled. "That's great, well, lets get to the room."
Entering the dorm room, I placed my bags next to the empty bed, looking to see that she has already gotten herself settled in. "Hope you don't mind me already taking this bed. Couldn't wait." She smiled at me and placed my bags next to my other bags. "That is fine. haha. So... what now?" I looked at her, barely able to say anything, I felt so nervous. She was so attractive, and she was even my roommate. It doesn't get any better then that. "Hellooo- Earth to Alicia?" She waved her hand in front of my face. I guess I had spaced out for a few minutes. I tend to do that at times. "Sorry, I spaced out. Um.. don't have to go to a seminar? For the new comers?" I asked, not really sure about what's supposed to happen.
Getting out of the shower the bathroom was steaming and the mirror was foggy. I wiped the mirror woth my arm to see my self putting my mid-back length hair into a big wet curly bun on my head. Coming out the bathroom with a towel and I headed to our room. closing the door behind so no one walks in. There was a knock on the door. "Hello? Alicia I just need to get something real quick." Lex opened the door and I started freaking out. Still having the towel in me I started panicked.
"Woah, woah. I am so sorry, I didn't know you took a shower." She kept apologizing to me. I smiled out of embarrassment. "I-its okay." I looked at her and turned my back to her. I know she was tempted but she didn't try anything on me.
