Definition: the users body has thick black patches of of scales all over their body. When the user is frightened or angry the scales will grow and cover more of the skin. When the skin is fully covered the user can now use them as armor. The scales on the hand can form into claws when necessary. It takes about 10 minutes for the scales to fully cover up the skin but they will shrink back to normal when the user is calm.
Drawback: when the scales grow there is pain around the users body
