Loki's Surpise

Chapter 6:Loki's Surprise:

Loki's POV:

We walked out of the room together and I offered her my arm. She hesitated but less than last time and took my arm. As I led her to the surprise I couldn't help but think how afraid she was that I was going to punish her. I would never hurt her. I just told her I would punish her to make sure she followed my rules. She had a curious look on her face. I didn't want to but I decided to read her mind on what she thought about me. In her mind I read, "I'm glad he didn't punish me", "I'm starting to like him but I'm still afraid", and "I think I really like him". With that, I left her mind. I left with mixed emotions. I was happy she was starting to like me, but also disappointed she was still afraid of me. It was understandable considering I kidnapped her. But hopefully, tonight would change that, and the second surprise I had just decided to plan for her. The walk to the surprise was getting awkward so I decided to ask her about her day. "How was your day, darling?" "It was pretty good. I met a maid this morning and I asked her to eat with me. Then when she had to leave I went to the library to read some books written by Midgardians." "You asked a maid to sit with you?" I was totally surprised by this. I had never said anything to maids or servants unless it was an order. "Yes her name is Amber" "She told you her name?" "Yes, after I asked for it. And then I asked her to sit with me while I ate." I was still shocked by this. Y/N was so kind to everybody no matter their status. "Why did you ask her to sit with you?" "Because I don't have many friends here or in my village. I only know you, Amber, and now the queen. That's it." I felt saddened by her response. "Well, I will try to spend more time with you then." As we neared the surprise I had her close her eyes. I led her to the entrance and had her open. At first, she was confused, and as I led her more a wonderful smile came across her face. I had brought her to the gardens. There were many different flowers from all the realms and they were all in bloom. It truly was a beautiful sight. "It's beautiful," she gasped. "Yes you are'' I replied. She smiled at me and then did something unexpected. She leaned over and kissed my cheek. She blushed a bit before turning down to look at her feet. I led her further into the garden and brought her upon a picnic scene with candles, lights, and a lot of food. She looked very happy. As we ate we discussed her and my past. We found we both had a mischievous side to ourselves. As the night got closer, it began to get cold as the stars came to life. I conjured us up a blanket and she moved in closer to me. I wrapped us in the blanket and she snuggled into my chest. We watched the stars as I pointed out all the constellations and told her the stories behind them. As I talked to her about the constellations she looked at me with a look on her face I couldn't quite place. "What's wrong, love?" She didn't say anything and I got worried. Then she leaned in and kissed me on the lips. It was a quick kiss but it was the start of many more to come. When she pulled away I figured out the look on her face was love. We cuddled back up and just enjoyed each other's presence. We fell asleep under the stars wrapped in each other's embrace.

In the morning we awoke as the sun was starting to come up. We had stayed out all night long. "Morning, dove" "Good Morning Loki" "I have another surprise for you dove. Well actually two" She looked at me with a please hurry up and tell me look. "Impatient are we?" I joked "The first is I don't have any duties to attend to today. So I thought we could spend the day together and maybe go to the nearest village. Would you like that, love?" "I would like that, Loki" "Great! The second surprise is there will be a ball one week from today. It's the end of spring ball. Usually, I despise such events due to the fact that they are just attempts for my father to push maidens on me to marry. But, I would like for you to attend the ball with me. I think it would be a pleasurable evening. Would you like to attend?" "I would love to go to the ball with you. I also think it would be a pleasurable evening." "Then it is settled. When we go to the village today we will look for dresses." We both got up and headed back into the castle. "Meet me outside of your chambers in an hour and then we will go. She nodded and disappeared into her chambers. I walked into my chambers and couldn't stop thinking about her. She kissed me twice I thought. Even if they were quick they were a sign of affection. Could she possibly love me?

Y/N's POV: You went into your chambers and shut the doors behind you. You had so many mixed emotions. You were really starting to fall for Loki. He wasn't the same Loki you had met when you woke up in your cell. He was caring and gentle. But you were still fearful that with the smallest mistake scary Loki could come back. But you weren't too worried about it. You could start being yourself around him. As you thought about it you were enjoying yourself. The truth was you never really liked your village that much. You always wanted to travel and see Asgard and the realms, especially Midgard. You always felt like you weren't meant to stay there and you didn't miss it. Your father wasn't around much because he was a lord. Your mother left when you were young and you were an only child. You were pretty lonely except for the maids and servants at your castle. It was nice to be with someone else and feel loved. After that, you pulled yourself out of your thoughts and realized you had spent 20 minutes lost in your thoughts. You quickly took a shower and ran over to your closet to find a dress to wear. You settled on a simple short-sleeved dark green dress:You quickly braided your hair into two dutch braids and then took them out deciding you wanted to leave your hair down. You then went to stand outside your chambers. You waited for a few minutes before Loki came out. He wore his usual dark pants and a green shirt. "You look beautiful Y/N" You blushed. "Ready?" he asked. You nodded and linked arms. And you were off.
