Y/N's POV:

It was finally the day of the ball. Things with Loki were going great. You would go on walks in the garden, take horse rides, and read together. You were really starting to love him. You were no longer afraid of him and he treated you like a queen.

You awoke in Loki's room with his arm possessively wrapped around my waist. Even though you and Loki had been sharing the same bed you haven't been intimate yet. But, you felt like tonight was the night you would give yourself to him. He wasn't awake yet so you laid there watching him sleep. He was so peaceful while he slept. When he started to shift awake you closed your eyes pretending to sleep. He couldn't know you were watching him. "Darling?" You stayed quiet. "Darling? Love I know you are awake." "What? How did you know? I used to do this all the time with my dad and he never expected a thing." "Love, I am the god of mischief and lies. "Love, were you watching me sleep?" You didn't reply but you could feel yourself starting to blush. "I have to go start getting ready for the ball. I'll be getting ready in my chambers so you don't see me. I'll see you at the ball." You said in a rush before slipping on a robe and almost running out. Before you shut Loki's door you could have sworn you heard him chuckle.

You entered and went into your closet where you had been hiding your dress. It was a beautiful dress and you couldn't wait for Loki to see you in it. It was a green silk dress with spaghetti straps. It has a slit that started at your upper thigh and a train. You went to take a bath and used the finest scrubs for your hair and body. You wanted to look irresistible tonight. When you were finished you looked at the clock and it was 12. The ball started at 4 so you had some time. You asked Amber to come to your chambers at 2 to do your hair and makeup and you also asked her to bring some heels. You filled the time by reading your newest book from the library "Much Ado About Nothing". It was a play written by Shakespeare and you found it really funny especially how Don Pedro caused mischief. He reminded you of Loki. You had lost track of time and heard a knock at the door. It was 2 on the dot. Amber was always on time. "Come in" She arrived with a box in her hands. "The shoes you requested my lady" "Thanks Amber!" You opened the box to reveal the most beautiful gold heels. She brought you into the bathroom and began to do your hair. While she got you ready you guys talked and caught up. She curled your hair and then put it into a bun while leaving two shorter pieces free. She then did your makeup which consisted of a smokey eye and red lipstick. When she was finished you went to put on your dress. You slipped on some green laced panties and bra sets. You then put on your dress and went to stand in front of the mirror. "You look beautiful my lady" "Thank you, I feel beautiful" It was now 3:58 and you started to make your way towards the door. "Will you be at the ball Amber?" "Yes my lady. I will be passing out drinks" "oh, well I will see you there then" She nodded and left my chambers with me.

I walked towards the ballroom and could hear the chatter of the guests. The guards opened the doors and you walked in. Everyone stopped their conversations and the room fell quiet while everyone stared at you. You felt very uncomfortable as you were never one for the spotlight. You looked around for Loki and made eye contact with him. He was standing there looking at you with a smirk on his face. You walked down the stairs to him. By the time you reached him everyone had gone back to what they were doing before. As you met him he looked you up and down. The two of you went to the bar and he ordered you both some ale. You both discussed the guests and Loki gave you all the gossip on them. Eventually, dinner and dessert were served. After that, the music started. "Can I have this dance?" he asked. "Yes, you can" He took your hand and walked onto the dance floor. He pulled you close, he had one hand on the small of your back the other holding your hand. You rested your hand on his shoulder. Thank god your heels closed some of the distance between your height and there wasn't a foot difference between the two of you anymore. You rested your head on his chest as you two slowly danced. He leaned down to your ear and whispered "It's taking every ounce of self-control I have not to rip off your clothes and take you right here" You whispered back "What's stopping you" "we are leaving now"

He grabbed your arm and almost dragged you back to his room. As soon as you were in the room he slammed you against the wall and began passionately kissing you. You wrapped your legs around him as he continued to kiss you. He shoved his tongue into your mouth and down your throat while you moaned into his kiss.
