The Noise were gaining speed as they charged towards me. The wolf in the middle of the pack was more than likely the alpha, as he was the angriest and ugliest looking of the three. I grabbed the first pin I could from me pocket and concentrated, and concentrated, and concentrated.
But nothing happened. What is happening, I wondered Did this one just not work? I didn't have time to test the pin a second time before wolves reached me.
The smallest wolf was the first to attack. I quickly drew back as it lunged at me, it's claws barely scraping my side, but still enough to draw blood.
It wasn't a very large gash but it still burned horribly. I tried the pin again and something did happen on the second attempt. The gash on my side vanished taking the pain and the rip in my shirt with it. So you're not incredibly useless after all! Good to know. I reached for another pin and lightning struck the Noise, banishing it from existence. The second wolf stormed me at that exact moment.
It was larger than it's now destroyed partner, but still threatening. It sped past me and aimed itself at my back.
I fumbled with my pins trying to quickly grab one to guard myself against it, but I was two late.
Within seconds the Noise was on top of me, readying itself to strike. It raised it's head, I shut my eyes and counted down my last few seconds of life. Five. Four. Three. Two. One...
BOOM
The wolf on my chest was now gone, just like the first. I got up and looked at the finial Noise, when....
BOOM
Another blast and the beast was gone.
I found the origin of the blast and saw a boy standing about ten feet away. He was holding a still smoking revolver in hand.
And just like Shi, he sprouted wings from his back. Only his, unlike Shi's, were like angel wings, pure white and beautiful. Where as Shi's were black and jagged.
Without a word the boy left for the skies.
"What interesting people I've meet today".
My phone vibrated in my pocket. I checked the message that had appeared.
So you won the second day, no matter, it wasn't a total waste. Not after my Noise got a hold of your partner after all, see you tomorrow.
