"Yer' just doin' that to rub it in my face 'Samu!" Atsumu huffed and flopped backwards on the couch laying his arm over his eyes, the walk home from practice was horrid! Osamu and Suna had been flaunting the fact they found each other the whole time with their hand holding and laughing like mushy couples do.

"Am not, yer' just mad you can't find yer' soulmate and I can." Osamu grinned over his brother heading to the fridge to dig around for leftovers to heat up for him and his twin, meanwhile Atsumu slouched up with his sad angry puppy pout heading into his room and draping himself on his bed, he would be lying if he said it didn't bother him, sure he was still young and sure he had time but everyone else had found theirs, Osamu flaunting how happy he was with Suna every practice and moment he breathed didn't help either, maybe his brother was better.

He drifted into consciousness. And then back out. The world was a blur, and random images seemed to float aimlessly around in the pool of my thoughts, as though they were being blown about viciously by a hurricane. A tap on his shoulder momentarily brought him back to the outside world, but after a second he was once again fluttering his lashes down slowly. Confusion wiped across his face knowing sooner or later he would need to wake up. To stare reality in the face. But for now all he wanted was to lay down, heavy head, and retreat into wallowing blackness.

"'Tsumu, common' I heated up supper for us, if you don't come eat it I'm eatin' it for you." Osamu flicked his brother on the forehead walking out leaving the door open letting the light slip into his room, illuminating the messy contents, volleyball laying under his desk along with his bag thrown sloppily on the floor, the last minute changes trying to find an outfit for the day, running out of time to change as his brother unsurprisingly hushed hi out the door, ever since he and Suna have been seeing each other they'd have to leave earlier to meet the brunette at a small shop down the block a little, ugh, couples. Atsumu rolled off his bed with a yawn, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand, cheeks and ears flushed pink from the wave of tiredness washing over him; He peeked to the counter to see what Osamu had made.

"Wow, Onigiri. Yer' really tryin' new things aren't ya.'" The blonde in need of toner rolled his eyes pulling out the chair and sitting down with a scoff, of course he was appreciative of his brother doing things for him like cooking and cleaning, but what kind of brother would he be if they didn't make fun of each other and fight occasionally! Osamu had been there when their parents weren't, they seemed to be away on trips every other week, not knowing exactly where they were, it was always a guessing game to him, and all he really had was Osamu and the team right now, even if they were all assholes sometimes, they were family after all; One big dysfunctional family.

The water pours down, it dripping by his side, as his mind fades into dullness and everything is a foggy illusion. The sensation of the steamy water is calming; it takes his mind of things. All the things he honestly don't care about. It's the water. Mind swirls, and it's like standing under an everlasting waterfall. Bathing his skin lightly, taking careful notice not to touch the bruises that scattered from volleyball, trying to get Osamu and the team to pull off any crazy stunt he could think of to throw the other team off.

The steamed seeped into the room from his body, slipping on a hoodie and shorts he grabbed from any given place around his room, smelling to make sure it was, in fact, clean. Before throwing it on his freshly washed body. The smell of cinnamon (thank you my beautiful Atsumu kinnie and simp bestie for the cinnamon muaha) lingered around his room from his body wash, making a safe and calming atmosphere for himself. Through his bedroom window comes the brightness of the moon, that boldness and definition of the stars that lifting his spirits.

The chorus of the crickets drift in as steady rhythm and music, only their melody is dancing. In a moment the tune can fly so high and resettle. He moved towards it, feeling the light reach his skin and eyes adjusting to its brilliance. Letting out a reach with his hand, leaning on the white gloss frame. He climbed out onto the top of the roof that hung just below the window. The eerie darkness of that night would never escape his memory. Clearly remembering the pitch-black curtain draped over the sky, and the twisted, warped shapes that the stars made against the blackness. The milky speckles twirled and danced along the sky in various patterns, tugging at the corners of his lips in a way that almost made him smile. It was hard to shove aside the worries corrupting his mind, but eventually, he stopped, stopped thinking. He was alone; Nothing from my life could touch him, not right now, not in the moments he spent with the stars. Not a single thing could harm him. Staring up at the sky and studied the silver glow of the moon.

Even if he had no soulmate, if he never met them would it be the worst? The stars where there, the stars held his secrets, they'd never judge if they didn't like him either. If only. There are things in this world you can work for, plan for, put effort into. There are things you have to trust into the world of fate and chance, hoping that you have enough karma, to bring what you long for. But there's little things that you can still hold onto, when you're a child you wish, wish on a dandelion, wish in a well, on a star. We have it to keep our hopes alive, yet also to realize that some of the things our hearts reach for the most, come as cosmic gifts of sorts. That's why Atsumu wishes, he wishes on a star, it could be silly but he has faith, maybe the stars will lead him to his soulmate. So he wishes, that maybe one day they will.
