Chapter One: An Unexpected Beginning

Kyung Sae’s POV

“ Kyung Hye Ah! Kyung Min Ah! Wake up!” I yelled from downstairs. This is a typical day for me, a daily routine.

“Guys! You’re going to be late!” I yelled a little louder, not caring if I was disturbing their long, peaceful slumber.

No response. That was the last straw. I stomped up the stairs, ready to give my two younger siblings a lecture on how important it is for them to listen to their elders.

“Hey, Kyung Min! Ya! Kyung Min!” I shouted, shaking his shoulder.

“What…” said Kyung Min, half asleep. This is my brother. He’s a junior high school student who acts smart around his friends, but at home like an complete pabo.

“Ah… Noona” I kicked him hard, and he immediately began getting ready for school.

“What’s all the noise?” whined my ten-year old little sister, Kyung Hye. “If you don’t get up, I won’t let you listen to any Super Junior songs for a week!” I threatened. That got her going.

Soon we three were dressed in our uniforms. Are you proud of me? I thought, looking at her picture.

She was smiling happily, just like she always had.

My mother died a year ago, leaving us alone to provide for ourselves. She was a hardworking young woman who always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Before leaving for work everyday, she would always say something kind to us. Despite the fact that my father left her for another younger woman, she always found ways to entertain us by herself. My dream is to carry on her legacy and work hard for her sake.

“Unnie! You were the one who was threatening us to get moving! We gotta go now!” yelled Kyung Hye.

“Bye Mom,” I said to the photo, ready to get going for a new day of school.

Jong In’s POV

“Kim Jong In ssi, Kim Jong In ssi, Breakfast is ready!”

Aaaah… It’s assistant noona… I thought myself, still asleep

“Kim Jong In ssi, it’s your favorite…” said the assistant

“Fiiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeeee!” I said annoyed, not wanting to wake up.

Everyday is the same for me. I get up, go to school, girls follow me, go home, etc… I never have time to dance anymore, my passion.

I get dressed in my uniform and went downstairs. “Jong In! It’s been a while, huh?”
