CHAPTER TWO

On my way back to the precinct I couldn't get Seokjin's smile out of my mind. I kept subconsciously shaking my head, trying to erase the memory, he annoyed me.. he was just so handsome.. focus Y/N!

I had a mountain of evidence that pointed straight to the shooter being responsible, but my gut feeling was telling me to look into it more. "I just pulled the trigger.." it was interesting, I'm not going to lie. I decided to look through the shooter's phone, at who the last person he called was.

Sungho.

The name stood out. He was definitely known to us. Drug charges, domestic violence, assault, you name it. He was also well known in the music industry, if you could call his albums 'music'. For one reason or another he was quite popular and exclusive. So it was usually hard to get him on his own. Well at least I already know the way, I grab my keys and head to the car.

The road was long and windy, he was in the upper-class area of town. The treck down his smooth driveway alone took me at least a minute. I climb out of my car and move slowly to the door, M&P 9mm ready in my hands. I know what I'm getting into and I know the people inside will be armed, they hate any kind of police, but most of all, Sungho hates me.

I creep up to the giant glass front door, a water feature running down the stone wall on either side. I pound on the door three times, an older man dressed nicely including a black vest with white gloves saunters over to the door. "Good afternoon, Ma'am"

"I'm here to see Sungho."

"I'm sorry, ma'am. He's unavailable. He's in mourning, I'm afraid."

"Right. Well, this can't wait" I pull out my badge and the man infront of me sighs heavily.

"Right this way, Detective."

We head up the white marble staircase, the railings completely glass. I can already hear a commotion, people talking loudly, the low hum of music barely loud enough to notice. Readying my handgun as we walk into a huge open room, thick with smoke, floor to ceiling glass windows surrounding the entire space. Half a dozen people were lingering, playing pool or smoking.

"Guns down! On the floor!" Thank god they've learnt their lesson, they all obey immediately. "You three, against the wall!" I boom, directing them with my weapon.

What is he doing here.

"Detective!" Seokjin announces, smiling proudly. Is he.. happy, to see me? Get a grip Y/N. "You did listen to me!" He called, sounding much like an excited puppy, still smiling ear to ear.

"I ran the dead guy's phone, Sungho was the last person he called" I sneer towards Sungho, not letting him leave my sight.

"Come on, I just went through this with your partner." My what?! Is that why Seokjin is here?

"Seokjin, how did you make the connection on your own?" I question him.

"Well, I've been busy, my dear."

Ignoring his unhelpful response, I look back at Sungho "talk to me about Seoyun"

"Sungho and I have been over that one, Detective. I Just finished getting my answers if you would like to share information."

How can someone so attractive, be so incredibly annoying. I continued at Sungho ".. and why you called the shooter two days before she was murdered".
