I Love You to The Stars and Back

PROLOGUE

"Hey Eli, are you okay? Why do I always see you daydreaming, huh? Is there any problem? Or do you already have a boyfriend, then the two of you broke up?" Kristelle asked me teasingly.

"What boyfriend are you talking about? Besides, I'm just thinking about something" I said annoyed, and sipped my juice.

We're in the waiting shed waiting for our other friends. I drink juice while looking at the clouds. I suddenly burst into tears when I remembered the last conversation Chloe and I had.

"Oh my, why are you crying? Does what I said hurt?" Kris asked worriedly as she wiped away my tears.

"Did I do something wrong?" I continued to cry

"Is this about what happened to Chloe? It's not your fault Eli so don't think of anything" Kris went to the front and hugged me.

"I can't accept her goodbye, Kris. I felt guilty for what happened. I feel like it was all my fault" I sobbed.

Kristelle held my hands. "It's not your fault for what happened, Eli. Chloe wanted what happened and you know that since she told you that. So don't cry anymore because as your best friend, I'm also hurt."

I smiled at what Kristelle said. She's always there for me when I have problems and the only person I tell about them because she is the only one I can trust. It's like we're siblings.

When I got home, I went to bed right away. I finished eating with Kris. I was about to fall asleep when I suddenly remembered what Kristelle had said.

'It's not your fault what happened, Eli. Chloe wanted what happened.'

I suddenly remembered the last thing Chloe said to me before she said goodbye.

'Thank you for making me happy, even for a short period of time. I'm so blessed to have you as my sister.'

I began to cry again remembering her last words that touched my heart.

"I miss you so much, Chloe. I hope one day I can forgive myself for what happened to you" I whispered into the air before I fell asleep.
