Michael
"Get your fucking stuff, we are leaving! NOW!" I am not exactly small but not as tall as Xander, forcing me run to keep up with the man. His black jeans, white button up that was fitted against his chest and shoulders.
"The hell I am!" I kept with his pace, even after he stormed into my room.
"I am not letting you stay here with that psycho in town!" He barked. He wasted no time gathering all my belongings and shoving it into my bag, he honestly doesn't care how it would wrinkle.
"I didn't tell you what happened so you can come up here and be my knight in shinning armor!"
"Well what am I suppose to think?" He asked, his emerald eyes focused on mine.
"He threatened me, so what? I am a Lawyer so it comes with the job! Was I scared? Yes of course but I am not running away!" I crossed my arms over my chest. "So, either except it or there the door!"
"Oh! No! You are not getting rid of me that easy!" He grabbed me the hips and guided me until I was against the wall. The cold cladding digging into my spine but when the pain subsides there a sort of thrill!
"Is this your thing? Holding me hostage against a wall?" I asked, cocking my eyebrow.
"No, but it's proven to effective to keep you from running!" A smug grin spread across those soft lips of his.
"I'm still not going!" I whispered. Determined not to back down. I was afraid that James found me but I knew I could take him on. He is definitely not the first of my clients' spouses to want to kill me and I am positive he won't be the last.
"Alright then!"
I blinked! I fucking blinked and found myself thrown over his shoulder like I was nothing more than a useless sack of potatoes. I knew hockey players were built and could easily lift my weight in the gym but this was ridiculous. I was protesting the entire way down to the lobby over shoulder. He wasn't moving as fast but still had enough power in his strive. His bulging biceps kept me in place. It made me feel both emasculating and turn on all at the same time. We reached the lobby, everyone giving us a skeptical look with a grown man over another shoulder. I couldn't see the woman at the front desk, my view was limited to the lobby and street, as well as the perfect ass below me.
"Everything alright sir?" The lady asked at the front desk.
"Yes, my boyfriend here is checking out!"
"Boyfriend?" I screamed to his back!
"Shut it!" He barked over his shoulder.
"Are you sure sir?" She asked again.
"Yes, please have his belongings sent to this address." I watched his other arm move, like he was writing down the address.
"Alright sir, thank you for staying with us!"
"Thank you" I said over his shoulder. I still wasn't allowed to speak, he made that clear by pinching my ass, a small yelp escaped my lips.
He gathered all the necessary paperwork before walking out the door. The sun has begun its process of descending behind the trees, a speckle of gold filling the half-deserted street. Xander kept on walking, our combined weight noticeable by the crunch of his feet against the sidewalk.
"You made your point, would you please put me down?" I begged.
"Nope!"
"Asshole" I whispered under my breath.
He kept on walking while my thoughts went back the scene of the lobby. He called me his boyfriend! I know I am not imagining that because his collarbone digging into my pelvis was a good enough wake up call. We slept together once, and our first date was sort of ruined by James threatening me. Xander reached his blue truck, opened the passenger door before unloading me on the leather seat!
