Freedom
People take for granted what that means
We complain about what we don't have
But really we should be appreciating what we do have
What happens when we have nothing
No freedom
No choice
We complain even more
Where is that going to get us
Who knows what we will have
Thousands of years from now
More?
Less?
We could wake up one morning
And everything's gone to chaos
It's a waste of time
Complaining
About the "don't"s
About the "can't"s
Instead
We should be enjoying the freedoms we were graced
The freedoms our past relatives worked so hard to earn us
Rosa Parks didn't go to jail because her cellphone wasn't the latest and greatest
No
She sat in her seat
And wouldn't give in to discrimination
Don't be ungrateful
Appreciate what you have
Because not everyone has the freedom
The choices we were blessed with
The problem of not having an iPhone
Is nothing when compared to
Being a slave who is treated like a piece of trade
Wake up
Because sleep
Won't help fix the messed up world we're living in
