Y/N POV
When we got into the room, we greeted each other and had some small talk about random things. The dude infront of me was handsome and funny but, I could kinda tell he didn't like me. He liked the girl Wang Ja was talking to. And I also noticed that the girl Wang Ja was talking to liked the guy I was talking to. So urm... It was awkward.
He kept on looking to his side and she kept on looking to his side. So, what did I do? I asked Wang Ja to come outside with me for a while. When he didn't respond, I just pulled him out of there. This boy didn't even notice the view infront of him because he was too focused on the girl.
"Why did you bring me out here?" He pulled his hands away from mine. "They like each other." I stated bluntly. "Who like each other? The both of them?" He asked. "Yea... Didn't you see the way they looked at each other?" "No...but I don't belive you." He crossed his hands over his chest. "Fine, I'll show you."
I held his hands and pulled him to the room, standing outside. I opened the door slightly, so that we could peek inside. "You see?" I gave him a cocky look.
They were kissing each other. Wait no, they were eating each other's faces off. It was memorable sight to see. Memorable but not good. Made me almost vomit not gonna lie. "Oh you were right." I closed the door and pulled him outside again.
"I'm sorry your date didn't work out. But..." I smiled at him. "You still have me right?" He shrugged and gave me another smile. "That's what I'm worried about. Only having you. I need other girls in my life!"
"Too bad you're stuck with me for life." I hooked my arms around his neck, bringing his head down towards me like in a headlock. "Now where should we go, Mr Park?" "Let's go to our usual spot."
"And here, you look cold." He gave me the coat he was wearing. He wanted to look presentable and formal for his 'blind date' so he dressed up in a nice button down shirt and jeans with a coat. This was the second time I've seen him wear this type of clothing. The first was during prom. It really looks good on him. He should definitely wear it more.
"Thanks. Shall we get going?" I put my arms out so he could link his with mine. And off we go, to our usual spot. "We're here."
We were at the arcade. It was a worned down arcade that only had the old machines, rather than those new ones you'd see in malls. We loved to come here when we were in high school. Actually, almost every single day we came here. We used to play so much that the owner would kick us out. But of course she didn't, we were her best customers.
It still looked the same. And feeled the same. The old machines were still here and the owner was also still here. Ever since college started, we rarely ever came here. Usually when we had nothing to do or when we were having bad days, we would come. It was our kind of stress reliever.
"What do you want to start with first?"
---------------------------------------------------------
"Thanks for walking me home." I took off his coat and gave it back. We spent nearly four hours at the arcade, solely playing games and eating that we forgot we had classes tomorrow. Once we realised that, He walked me back to the dorms. "It's no big deal, and sorry for the blind date thing. I thought they were just friends but I guess not." He let out a laugh.
"It's not your fault. Besides, I got my necklace and ring so... It wasn't that bad for me. And, you got to spend the date with me. It's a win-win situation. Is it not?" I showed off the necklace and ring he gave me. "Yep, I am very happy to spend the date with my babe. I'll get going now, bye Y/N." I waved to him and he waved back. I stood there watching, until his figure was gone.
"Hey." I waved at the boys who were watching TV. "Oh you're back. How's the date?" Minho asked. I let out an exhausted sigh. "Horrible." I spilled out. I went over to them and started spilling what happened. Their faces were in shock. ".... So that's what happened. Then, me and Wang Ja just went to another place to hang out. So honestly, it wasn't that bad of a date. Not that me and Wang Ja are dating though."
"Oh that's good then. By the way, what's that necklace? I've never seen you wearing it before." Jisung asked. "This?" I showed them the necklace. "Wang Ja got it for me." The boys started 'oo-ing' as if they middle school kids who saw someone doing a 'sick burn' on another kid. "AS A BRIBE!" I rolled my eyes at them. "He said that if I went with him to the blind date, he would buy me this necklace and ring!" "AND RING?!" they shouted in unison, causing me to cover my ears. "You should marry him Y/N. He already given you a ring." Seungmin added teasingly.
I rolled my eyes at them once again before going to my room and shutting the door close. What's wrong with them? He doesn't like me and I don't like him. Does he like me? I mean, he is nicer to me than to other girls. But that's because I'm his best friend. And he always looks at me in a not-so-bestfriend type of way. Y'know what? Maybe I'm just taking this the wrong way. He only sees me as a friend. And I only see him as a friend. Nothing more than that.
NO ONE'S POV
Y/N woke up in the middle of the night. She was having a little headache and wasn't able to sleep in peace. She went to the kitchen to get a glass of water before going back to bed.
She shifted on her bed many times, trying to find the most comfy spot. before giving up and sitting up straight on her bed. She was frustrated that she could not go back to sleep and decided to just go to the rooftop. The rooftop where she could at least get rid of the headache she was having.
She got her jacket and wore her shoes, slowly closing the main door to make sure it wouldn't wake up the rest of them. Once she reached the rooftop, she opened the door and immediately felt the cold rush of air hitiing her body.
She closed her eyes and felt it all go through her body, calming her. When she opened her eyes again, she saw a figure sitting down on the edge of the building. Going closer to them, she saw who it was.
"What are you doing here?"
