Sorry I've been gone so long. School, work, and writer's block have been kicking my ass. Some good news for those who don't care about the inserted scripts, this is the last chapter that contains a script because they're too much work 😅😅. I'm thinking of turning it into it's own Taekook story, but not for a while. I hope you enjoy the double update 🥺👉🏽👈🏽

It had already been a full month filming in the mansion, in which I survived the most difficult part of this job for me. Each passionate scene made me want to run far away, but I braved almost all of them. As if Mikey couldn't get any more possessive, he kept Taehyung's attention every minute of the day. Whenever Taehyung and I would make plans to spend time together like a couple of besties, Mikey would throw a fit like a child. The most shocking thing was, Taehyung didn't bother to object. He would just give me a halfhearted apology and ask for a rain check. Even if it was just a simple dinner or a walk in the park with our cameras, there was always some excuse.
"Mikey promised his parents we'd go to dinner with them."
"Mikey needs help running his lines."
"Mikey's not feeling well today and wants me to help him run errands."
And it's not as though I could argue. They were boyfriends, so I didn't hold much weight against Mikey, even if he guilt tripped Taehyung every time. Mikey Jones was a devious man.
The first week that Taehyung cancelled on me, it only pissed me off for a day or two. I couldn't blame him for doing it one time. All I could do was call Jimin and complain, except whenever there was anything to complain about, Jimin was asleep back in Korea. Last week was the third time Taehyung cancelled on me with plans he initiated to begin with. It was almost September, meaning I would have two months until going back to Korea and Taehyung was still distant. History was repeating itself all over again. It was like I couldn't get a moment alone with my best friend before his boyfriend came running in with some bullshit about being neglected and lonely, as if he didn't have any friends to spend time with.
"Cut! That was great. Thank you, Taehyung. Let's move on to the next scene." Jin said authoritatively before nudging my shoulder. "I swear, Kid. There better be something important on your head today. You keep zoning out on me." I snapped out of my thoughts and cleared my throat.
"Nope, nothing important." I mumbled, fiddling with my fingernails. Just as I said that, Taehyung and Mikey stepped out of the car-like contraption on set that was rigged to simulate the swerves and jerks of reckless driving. We had filmed the car chase scene four times because Taehyung couldn't stop giggling every time the car-contraption moved a certain way while Hanseung, his character, was supposed to keep a straight and unbothered face. Taehyung's amusement was like music to my ears. It made me miss him even more as my heart clenched in my chest at the sound of his giggles.
"Are you sure you're alright, Guk?" Jin asked again. I nodded with a nervous chuckle. "You're always so worried about me."
"It's hard not to notice when you're down, Jungkook. Your face says it all. Besides, I've grown to care about you in these last few months. You're like my little brother. All that sappy stuff aside, you're here for an internship, not to pout and look cute." Jin scolded me with no real aggression. I smiled softly at him. "We have gotten close, huh? I'm gonna miss you when I go back home."
"Well, maybe you should stay a little longer." Jin suggested. I shook my head again. "I can't. My parents are paying for the last two months of my rent and I don't want to burden them anymore than I have to. I'm very grateful to you, but you don't pay me enough to cover more rent." I explained. Jin nodded and shrugged, "Fair enough. Just try to enjoy your time while you're here. Don't worry too much about the future."
