Dad was finished his story and I felt like my eyes would fall out of my head if I rolled them one more time. The three of us were sitting on the curb outside the dojo.

"All right, the reason I'm telling you all this is 'cause you gotta watch out for the LaRussos" dad told both of us. Remembering the finer details of the story, I am a little worried about being friends with Sam. But she's nice, nothing like her dad.

Dad decided we'd done enough training and brought us back to the reseda. I told dad I left something in the car and that I'd follow him inside.

Once he shut the door I turned back to Miguel with a grin, he was smiling at me happily. He leaned over and kissed me softly, I smiled into the kiss.

"Miggy?!" A voice called out causing Miguel and I jump to away from each other. We looked up and saw Miguel's mother staring wide eyed at us. I felt myself blushing, this is awesome, really. We are so busted.

"Mom" Miguel exclaimed in shock, his face was bright red too. I noticed the woman was actually smiling. I felt a little relieved and whole lot more embarrassed.

"I didn't expect..." she trailed off, "Hi, I'm Miguel's mom, Carmen"

Miguel groaned in embarrassment and I giggled quietly at him. I turned to the lady with a small smile.

"It's really great to meet you, I'm Grace" I greeted politely, her smile grew bigger and she said,
"Miggy has told me all about you, Grace"

I looked at Miguel whose eyes had grown three times in size. He let out an obviously fake laugh and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Has he, really?" I asked with a slight teasing tone. Miguel looked at me, he opened his mouth to say something but then closed it again.

"Ok, bye Grace, see you at school" he suddenly said urgently, he literally pushed his mother into the house and gave me a huge smile and a wave before shutting the door.

Miguel's mom is awesome.

I heard my phone ringing, I grabbed it and sat on my bed beside Monsieur Frog. I expected it to be Miguel and smiled, my smile fell when I saw that it was my brother.

I answered my phone, trying to decide how I felt about Robby now. He's an asshole but the stunt he pulled at the party makes me think that maybe he's not as bad as I thought. I've always stuck with my brother and tried to help him down the right path but maybe he's doing that himself now.

"Hey, Robby"

"Hi, Gracie, look, I know you probably think I need something but I don't. I just wanted to know if you wanted to meet up 'cause I haven't seen you in ages" Robby ranted at such a speed that I could barely keep up.

"Ok, slow down. Meeting up would be great, I'm assuming you're not coming over"

"Nope. But we should go somewhere else" he answered and I held back a sighed.

"Sure, I'll-" I was cut off by mom calling me from the kitchen, "I gotta go but I'll text you".

" 'Kay, see you"

"Bye"

I heard the beep, indicating he had hung up and I headed out of my room. As you already know, Robby and I have a complicated relationship. Him and dad aren't on good terms and he refused to get to know my mom. He met Lila once or twice but he's not good with kids, like, at all.
