This story is a mess. I'll try and fix it.

I slowly walked from the backstage to the curtain covering us. I closed my eyes. It was silent. I felt a little nervous. Okay definitely nervous as hell. I could only hear my heartbeat and a massive round of applause from the stage outside. The horrifying audience out there. I've always felt this way whenever I was about to go in front of a bunch of people. Just as I was about to open my eyes, I felt a hand touch my right shoulder. I opened them wide and looked at the hand.

"I know you can do it." A familiar voice told me

I sighed "What if I don't?" I looked at him with a hopeless stare

"Christina, you're a phenomenal singer, you just have to believe in it. You have to believe in what you can do. You need to think right about yourself. Come on, you're the only one thinking negatively about your talent, about what you're capable of." He said

I shooked my head. "Yeah, what am I thinking? Of course, I can beat them. They're just amazingly awesome and I'm, I-I'm." I gestured my hand pointing to my body

"Stop it. Put this in your head, you are amazing and you can set that stage on fire tonight. You're one of the best singers I've had on my team. I've been a coach for six seasons now and I have got to admit that you are probably one of the best I've worked with. You are one of a kind. Your voice is perfectly powerful."

I was speechless. I smiled at him and nodded. "Thank you."

He wiped the tears on my face which I didn't feel were already coming out of my eyes then pulled me into a hug. He rubbed my back gently while I try to recollect myself. "You can do it. I trust you."

"Thank you so much, Adam." That's when I finally pulled away. I sighed then looked at his face, smiling proudly at me. I chuckled softly. "Aren't you supposed to be up there?"

He chuckled as well. "Commercial break. You weren't listening, huh?"

"I was so nervous." I laughed

"Oh well, you better warm that beautiful voice up, bud." He grinned

I nodded with a broad smile.

"I'm gonna go now." He pointed at his back gesturing at the way to the stage.

"Okay, sure." I smiled again. Well actually our smiles never left our lips.

"Bye." He walked away backwardly, his eyes never looked away but they were only staring at mine. He waved but bumped into a guy holding a tray causing the tray to fly away from his hands. Adam helped him pick it up again. I giggled as I noticed his cheeks blush from a distance

I walked to the dressing room and faced the mirror. Why did he have so much faith in me? Why do I feel this way?

I shook my head. I shouldn't, this is wrong. I stood there for minutes until I finally got called.

"Christina Grimmie!" Shouted one of the crews.

Tug. Tug. Tug. Tug.

My heartbeat grew faster and faster as I walked closely to the stage

"I am amazing and I can set that stage on fire tonight." I whispered to myself as I listen to my name

I paced to the stage and took a deep breath. I found Adam smiling at me. I smiled back. He gave me an encouraging nod as the song started...
