Reese in the picture

"Good morning!" Reese greets sitting down. I see a blue bracelet again today.

"Good morning man." I didn't end up getting Tyler at his room, so I figure he will be meeting us for breakfast any second now.

"So. Smiles. Tell me your story." I tear my eyes from the door to Reese, who is sitting very close.

"Reese, back up. And I told you I don't have a story. You gotta stop prying, I'm not gonna tell you." Its not that I want to be mysterious or anything, I just don't think its a big deal why I'm here or not. I don't really care why anyone's in here, thats their business. The only reason I know anyone's story is when Reese tells me or when they tell me their self. I also don't want it to be common idea that I'm in for murder. People would look at me differently and I don't think mistakes should define who you are, just help you become better.

I used to be different. I used to be all about gossip, just like Reese, but after I was put in here I had a lot of time to think. I hadn't met Reese until about a week and a half into being here, so for that first week or so, all I did was homework and think. We can't just use the gym, we have to ask for permission and be supervised, and being supervised wasn't really my cup of tea. And reading is like the tea spoon. I barely remember it exists. In other words, I don't read much.

So yeah. For my first bit of time here all I did was reflect. I realized I didn't really like it when other people pried into me, even though I'm mostly an open book, so it wasn't fair that I would pry into others. I mostly fangirled over stuff. Like when Blaze and Milo were being idiots and not admitting their feelings. The first day they met was kinda wild. I don't remember much, but Blaze said that Milo, who was mostly unconscious, had slept in his room. And Blaze, being and IDIOT slept with his dads. I told him he should have been naked or something when Milo woke up. He smacked me so hard I had a bruise. I think sometimes he would forget I'm normal and not a half dragon half demon like him.

I'm okay being normal. A lot of normal's, even my sister, want to be a magical, but I'm good. I mean, sure it would be cool, but I'm great with who I am. Reese hasn't told me what type of magical he is, but I don't really care. It doesn't matter anyways. Here in Martin Jenkins (short for Martin Jenkins School for Delinquent Children) Magicals aren't allowed to use their magic except for a designated time. In regular schools, Magicals would have a separate gym class then normal's where they could practice their magic so they don't overflow. This place is too small, so magicals and normal's have gym together, so they just sit around, doing whatever they want to while normal's do regular gym. So basically, they get to show their magic off while I try to play basketball with Reese.

Reese says he doesn't have magic like that, so he can go longer without having to use his magic. So he dose it with his therapist every Friday. I shrugged when he told me.

Today is Friday actually. Fridays are cool because its only a half day for school, the rest being filled up with everyone's therapist sessions. Every grade has a therapist or two, depending how many kids are in each grade. This year Freshmen have the most kids, so there are 2 therapists for that grade. Next year some of those freshmen might get sent back to regular school, some might switch to a different delinquents school. So who knows. Anyways, I'm lucky. I have my session right after school, so once thats over, my weekend starts.

"Oh Smiles, lover boy is coming!" Reese coos. I turn and sure enough, Tyler is walking to us with a bag in hand.

"I got donuts for us. If you don't like them, I'll eat them." He says, then puts the bag in the middle of our table. Reese snatches the first one he gets his hands on, Tyler grabs second, so I take the last one. Its a regular glazed, my second favorite. My first favorite is raspberry filling.

Reese moans loudly. "Ugh! Thank you so much. If you can't woo Smiles, I'll let you woo me." He says.

Tyler smirks and nods, then teases Reese about different shit. After breakfast we head to our first hour, English with Mr. Rue. Rues kind of a hard ass when it comes to attendance, so we leave early. Tyler has to sit on the other side of the room from Reese and I. Reese complains, I shrug. After English is social studies with Mr. Reidsligh, FACS with Mr. Gerf, then Life Skills with Mr. Jones, then lunch.

Tyler wraps his arm around my shoulder.

"So, Smiles, how about telling me your room number? We still have that 6 o'clock date."

"Would if I could but I can't. I'm hanging out with my outside friends this weekend. Are you gonna visit anyone?" I ask, smiling because I get to see Blaze, Milo, Sam, Nicky, Rosie, and Maggie this weekend.

"Uh, no. I'm not visiting. My parents love me, but they are still mad that I'm here in the first place." I frown.

"Damn. You musta done something stupid because if I remember the stories right, Gray and Joey were little assholes at our age too." I grin and we both laugh.

"Yeah, but the little asshole part hasn't changed much." He admits. I bump into someone since I wasn't watching where I was going.

"Sorry." I say, helping them pick up their papers. They grunt.

"Fuck you, Smiles." He glares at me then leaves. If I remember correctly, that is Castor, who is in here for repeatedly harassing some girl on school grounds. I don't think he actually touched her, he would have been in prison if he had, but he freaked her and a bunch of other girls out enough that he got sent here. He also started fights and shit.

I did say that some kids here are just assholes.
