Chapter 5: Comfort

I'm overthinking what he said. Siguro dahil na-guiguilty ako o kaya natamaan ako or pareho.

Sinundan ko nalang si Colin papuntang condo niya. His condo was clean just like Levi's. It has the same luxury vibe I got from Levi's condo.

I noticed that their condo has the same name but different locations. Both condo is located on the top floor.

"Let's talk about our deal," he said.

I sat on the two seater sofa and Colin sat on the one seater sofa. There's a coffee table in front of facing the television I assume it's length was about 64 inches. Below the television is an electronic fireplace. Ang init init na sa pinas may fireplace pa siya. I mean para saan yun? Design?

"What about it?" I asked.

Before he could answer Therese gave us two cups of tea then left.

"We have to pretend even when we're home. The way we talk can fool the cctv camera, but in front of Therese we have to pretend. The way we move must be faked because cctv cameras are everywhere except the bathroom and the bedroom. We have no privacy here except those places," he cassually said.

"So you mean we're being watched now?" I asked.

"Yes," he said.

I became conscious at my movements.

"That's creepy," I said.

"Smile," he said

I immediately smiled fakely.

"Don't worry it's just my parents," he said.

"That's still creepy," I said while faking a smile.

"Don't worry it will do you no harm."

He smoothly took both of my hands then put it on his neck, then his hands travelled to my waist while his face is leaning closer to mine while he's looking at my lips.

I distanced my face.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I asked.

"Pretending."

"Don't worry I'm not gonna kiss you it's just for show," he added.

I saw the cctv camera behind him, now I get what he's doing.

I also alined my face with his. Avoiding sudden movements.

"What now?" I asked.

"Pretend."

He pretended kissing me, I'm like a statue there while he's doing all the work. Our lips aren't touching because again, we're just pretending.

Therese showed up with groceries, I immediately pushed Colin away. I heard him chuckle.

"Therese, this is Allison, she's my girlfriend," he calmly said.

"H-hi," I stuttered out of embarrassment.

Therese just nodded her head then continued putting the groceries on the countertop.

Colin looked at my eye like he's telling me that 'it's time to pretend'.

"Baby? Didn't you promise to give me that balenciaga sneaker??" I asked flirtatiously.

He sighed.

I clinged to his arms while looking at him intently. I know Therese is looking I saw her on my peripheral view.

"Yes baby, just wait for it."

He leaned closer to my ears while smiling, I know it's fake he seemed pissed.
