Dinner~
"Julia, go change into something that doesn't look like you got it from a dumpster. Its not everyday we get to have dinner with one of the Price boys. I bet he is here to ask for permission to date our darling Vanessa." I try hard not to roll my eyes. I turn to go upstairs but hesitate when I hear my mother's voice again. "Do wear long sleeves to hide those ghastly stitches." I bite my lip to keep from arguing. It is obvious that my mother has no idea about the real reason Caleb is coming over.
I look at Vanessa and roll my eyes. She's wearing a blue baby doll T-shirt that leaves nothing to the imagination, and a black skirt so short it barely covers her perfect pale ass. And I'm the one they criticize about my choice in apparel. My sister curls her ebony hair and turns catching me staring. "Ugh, what do you want? I'm trying to get ready for my date with Caleb. He's coming to see me you know. Tsk, those stitches look horrible, no wonder you're still a virgin." I give her a sickly sweet smile and say, "Don't think I didn't notice that pregnancy test in the trash can. I may be a virgin but at least I'm not a slut-" SMACK! I wince at my father's hand striking my face. "Don't you ever talk to your sister that way ever again. She is ten times the person you are, and as far as I'm concerned you barely have the right to talk to her at all with that little rebellion you tried to pull last week." Yeah its been an entire week and Caleb stalks my every move.
I look at my dad and open my mouth to say something. He grabs me by my hair and drags me upstairs. He opens my bedroom door and throws me inside of it. "Don't come out until you learn your place in this family, and stop dressing like a homeless person!" He slams the door behind him and I look out the window. Caleb is faced away from it and I feel a rush of relief that he didn't see that. That relief turns to embarrassment when I realize that Caleb is changing clothes. I can see his toned tan back as he leans down to slide on pants. His red hair looks almost scarlet in the dark lighting of his room. Right as I'm fixing to turn away he turns around. I flush as his eyes lock with mine and he gives a slight snicker. I show him a very special finger letting him know I wasn't spying on him. He quirks an eyebrow at my messy hair and I shrug it off. In truth my head was hurting like hell but I didn't say anything. His eyes look me over and I look down and nearly gasp. My shirt is ripped and my stomach and part of my bra is showing. I grab my blanket and wrap it around myself. I shrug at him and mouth, "It caught on a nail." He gives me a weird look but nods. I grab a plain white button up blouse and make sure he isn't looking as I slip it on. I grab some black slacks and slip them on quickly. He looks back and quirks an eyebrow at my new clothes. I laugh and mouth, "Parents...they want me to look normal for my sister's boyfriend." I watch as what I say sinks in. "What the fuck!" He mouths back. I grin, mouth, "Yep, they can't wait or you to ask to take out Vanessa." Caleb looks disgusted, and I don't blame him. My sister fucks everyone with a dick. She wasn't the girl you dated, much less went through the trouble of meeting her parents. But Caleb has fucked her before and I bet he would love to do it again. He grabs his jacket and gives me one last look mouthing, "I like your school uniform better."
I watch as he leaves his house and approaches mine. My father had left a handprint on my face that was pale enough that Caleb didn't see it. I grab some foundation and cover it up. It looked like it would leave a slight bruise. I walk downstairs and nearly laugh when I see Vanessa draped over Caleb. She can't see his face but he is very clearly uncomfortable with her on his lap. She is practically grinding against him and he looks like he wants no part of it. My Father walks in giving me a once over to ensure I looked proper. After that he smiles at Caleb and says, "Hello. Vanessa told us she had a boyfriend but we weren't expecting her to be dating a Price." I watch as Caleb smiles and says, "Actually we aren-" Vanessa jumps in. "Daddy, he hasn't asked me out yet. He's shy and sensitive."
I laugh at that and everyone turns to look at me. I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from saying what Caleb really is. My father narrows his eyes and says, "I apologize for Julia's rudeness. She isn't very...sociable most nights." I look at my father and sigh. "My father is quite right, I don't like talking to people so feel free to never look, or speak to me again." My mother gasps at my rudeness. "Julia! How dare you-" My mother's voice is drowned out by Caleb's laughter. "It is quite alright Mrs. Thomas. Julia was only joking." I glare at him, my good humor vanishing. Mother looks floored by his politeness.
Vanessa grabs Caleb's hand and practically drags him to the dining room. I sit as far away from them as possible at the table. My father talks to Caleb for hours about everything under the sun, and I find myself digging my nails into the side of my palm, drawing blood, just to keep from telling them to shut up. Vanessa shoots me a glare from time to time, her hand never leaving Caleb's arm. Its like she is staking claim to him. I just roll my eyes and eat my salad.
Finally dinner comes to an end and we all walk Caleb to the door. Vanessa leans close to Caleb, and whispers in his ear. He gives a smirk and nods. She gives him a very unchaste kiss right in front of our parents, and I struggle not to gag. Caleb pulls away and gives me a side glance. I turn and say to my father, "I am going to bed goodnight." I walk upstairs and completely ignore Caleb's piercing gaze that's stabbing into my back. He is clearly under the impression that because I am stuck with him that I must be nice to him...FUCK THAT! I flop down on my bed and sigh. I really am glad he's gone. Now I can just be myself hiding away in my room.
The door opens and Father walks in. "You are so stupid! If he had gotten offended by your little remark you would have ruined Vanessa's chances at a relationship with him!" I sigh and say, "I am sorry." He slaps me for the second time today. "You're grounded." I nod silently, not even feeling any pain. He turns and leaves. I laugh and sigh to myself. All in all, it had been a fun night. I roll over looking out my window and my heart stops. Standing with his eyes locked with mine is Caleb. He looks livid as he looks at the handprint on my face. I blush and roll my eyes at him. I mouth, "It is nothing." He gives a sharp nod and closes his curtains. I punch my pillow as soon as I know he can't see me. God I can't believe he saw that, now he has yet another thing to tease me about. God tomorrow is going to suck...
