The Car~
School. The single worst place on earth and today I would have to go back. My father had told me that I couldn't stay at home while my sister was hard at work. So today I slip on my uniform and step outside. Vanessa is flirting with Caleb and Caleb is flirting right back. Vanessa looks like she's about to fuck him in the middle if the yard. I give them a long glare before I start the walk to school. Caleb notices me and pries himself away from my sister and walks up to me. "Why are you walking?" He asks. I give him a long look and decided he forgot about last night. "I like walking and hate the bus."
He says, "Why doesn't Vanessa give you a ride?" I give him a hard stare. He laughs and says, " Ah, embarrassed of her emo little sister..."
"I am NOT emo." He laughs and says the cuts on your wrist determine otherwise."
"Excuse me." I say quietly. He sighs and says, "Accept your emoness, Doll face."
"I am not emo. Emo is a term for an overly emotional or sensitive person. I am neither. People always assume all emos are depressed or that all depressed people are either emo or goth. The stereotyping is utterly ridiculous!"He quirks an eyebrow. "Chill out sugarcube." I look towards my yard where Vanessa is fuming. "Caleb go back to my sister before she explodes. And don't call me sugarcube." He looks towards Vanessa and yells, "Sorry Vanessa, I'm going to drive Julia to school." My jaw drops and I say, "WHAT THE FUCK!" Caleb smirks at me and I watch as Vanessa's face turns red with fury. She gives me a look that says she will make me regret stealing Caleb's attention from off of her. I give her a look that says she can have him. "Girls.. They can convey a thousand words with their eyes. Let me guess, she is going to tattle to Daddy and then you're going to be wearing even more makeup tomorrow to hide the bruises." My head whips around. He gives me a patronizing look. "Why do you hide them? Why not let everyone know the truth about the Thomas family?" I glare at him and say, "I do not know what you mean." He licks his finger and wipes it against my cheek. My foundation comes off revealing a pale purple bruise. I blush and dig in my makeup bag to fix it. "I-its nothing. I slipped and fell-"
He gives me a look that says he wants to smack me too. "I saw your father hit you. He did because of what you said didn't he?" I sigh and give up. "Yes. Are you happy now? I'm such a terrible daughter that my father slaps me around, does that make you feel better?" The look on his face makes me shut up. "He has no right to hit you, doll face, and you don't have to let him." I look at him incredulously, "Um in case you forgot, you hit me too! At the hospital, after I-" "I hit you after you tried to end your life again. That is completely different than hitting someone for being sarcastic." I glare at him and start walking down the road. "Where are you going? My car is that way." I look back over my shoulder at the stupid jock. "I am not riding to school with my sister's boyfriend. She would murder me, plus I don't like you and don't want to ride with you." I feel my feet go out from under me and find myself being thrown over Caleb's shoulder. I hit his back helplessly. "PUT ME DOWN." He looks at me and says, "Sorry Doll. If I do that you will walk off again. Apparently you don't realize that I am not giving you a choice but to ride with me." I glare at him as he sets me in his Cherry Red Corvette. "Asshole. I like walking." He just grins and buckles my seatbelt, and takes off down the road.
