"I think we deserve a soft epilogue, my love. We are good people and we have suffered enough."

5 years later

As her bare feet touched the soft and lush green grass underneath, she let out a contented sigh. Her grey eyes scanned the surroundings, looking out for any invasion of privacy. Her medium-length chocolate brown waves swayed as the wind blew at her face. The fresh cool morning air and the view of the mountains and lake set her heart at ease. The sky was still waking up from its sleep, the blue brightening with every passing second.

Loud prattle about unimportant issues and the sounds of laughter made the 29-year-old woman turn in their direction. A toothy-smile graced her lips as she watched her sleep-deprived friends struggle to keep up with their kids and spouses.

A pair of arms wrapped around torso, flushing her into his chest. She rested her head and placed her arms on top of his arms, grinning. He kissed her hair, making her look at him.

His green eyes locked with her raging grey ones. His messy chestnut brown hair seemed even messier from before they left the house. His lips were stretched into a breathtaking smile, making the woman wonder how she got so lucky.

"The view's beautiful, isn't it?" He asked, smirking.

The woman slapped his arm, "Stop teasing me."

He winked, "You could just tell me the truth. I swear I won't judge."

"In your dreams, love."

"I do dream about you and I'm not ashamed of-"

"JONAH AND WINTER! IF YOU GUYS DON'T COME AND HELP SET US UP, I WILL WHOOP YOUR BUTTS!" Jack yelled at the couple from the distance, his hands cupped over his mouth.

The couple chuckled, heading back to their group of friends, hand-in-hand.

"Married for six years, and they still act like a bunch of high school sweetheart." Corbyn made a face, setting up the grill.

"Maybe you should learn something from them." Christina remarked, struggling to get a hold of their toddler, who seemed to have taken a liking towards the lake.

"Daniel, can you please take Lea for a moment?" Franny passed her new-born daughter, Carina, to her husband, who happily rocked his daughter in his arms as his wife helped to set up the picnic mats. Franny glanced over to her older five year old daughter, Lexi, who was playing with two boys near the lake.

"Ciara! I did not sign up for this!" Zach complained, holding the wailing infant away from his body.

"You should've thought about this before you impregnated me!" Ciara scolded, rummaging through the backpack. "Samantha, honey, please forgive your Dad."

"Oh God, Daniela! Dial it down on the mischief! Kath, baby, don't go near the water!" Gabbie yelled after her children. She then turned to her husband, pointing at the very visible baby bump, "This is the last one I'm having! If you plant another sperm in me, I swear I will castrate you!"

"Lavender, why don't you go help Mom take care of your siblings?!" Jack called out to his eldest, laughing nervously. Pregnancy hormones sure did bring out a totally different side of his wife.

Winter Addington-Marais and Jonah Marais grinned as they approached their chaotic group of friends.

"Dad! Can you teach us how to skip rocks?!" A boy of five years of age ran up to the couple with his twin brother in tow. The brothers had their mother's grey eyes and their father's brown locks.

"Matthew and I can't make it far enough!" James Robert Marais exclaimed, moving his finger between his brother and him once they came to a stop in front of their parents.

Matthew Dean Marais nodded vigorously, which made Jonah crouch to his son's level, chuckling.

Jonah said, "Well, I am not a rock skipping expert, but your Mom sure is."

The boys turned to their mother, their eyes wide. "Really, Mom?!" The twins questioned in unison.

"How about I show you?" Winter winked at her sons.

"Papa!" A three year old girl with green eyes and short brown waves ran upto her father, stumbling over her own feet.

Jonah immediately picked his daughter up and kissed her on the cheek, making her giggle.

"Dad! You know I don't like that!" Lauren Marie Francesca Marais complained through her giggles.

Winter and Jonah got married the same date they confessed to each about their feelings. They got married six years ago in a cathedral, in Paris, in the presence of close family and friends. Matthew and James came along a year after that. Lauren came two years later.

Winter had decided that she wanted to name her kids after her best friends who got her through everything. That's how the names Matthew Dean Marais, James Robert Marais and Lauren Marie Francesca Marais cane into existence.

"You two need to grow up!" Ciara scolded Winter and Jonah, rocking a wailing Samantha in her arms.

"Let me give it a try." Winter grinned, taking the crying infant. She rocked the infant, making funny faces and singing to her. Samantha's wailing reduced with every word that left Winter's lips.

Winter was still making music. In fact, she was releasing her eighth studio album in the next two months.

The boys were still together and we're going on tour for their sixth album in a few weeks.

Franny had still continued vlogging. Christina's talent agency thrived really well. Gabbie had begun her career as a videographer. Ciara had turned into a fashion designer after quitting cheerleading once she found out she was pregnant.

Gabbie and Jack had hit a rough patch in their relationship. However, once Winter made them see sense, they were back together and stronger than ever.

The whole group had moved Hawaii for better privacy and quality of life. They wanted to raise their children away from the prying eyes of the media and Hawaii proved to be a great option, since Gabbie assured them how amazing it was.

Life was so much better for Winter now. Yes, Winter and Jonah did have their disagreements and fights. But at the end of the day, they were all they ever wanted.

She passed the now quiet baby to a shocked Ciara and glanced over at her home.

Her husband and her three kids.

They were laughing over how their father had failed to skip the rock even once.

His green orbs fixated on her grey ones and he smiled.

Winter could've swore she saw stars in them.

She smiled back, realising everything she wanted was right here.

She was completely and perfectly incandescently happy.
