"If you only knew how much these little moments with you mattered to me."
The boys got off the stage after a heavy and exciting performance. They were exhausted. The 25 song set did take up a lot of their energy. In addition to that, dancing did not make matters any better.
A blonde girl made her way through the backstage. Her medium-length hair were tousled to the side. Excitement radiated of her. Everyone who passed could literally feel it.
In the green room, the boys changed out of their clothes. Jonah kept glancing at his phone time and again. Jack noticed this and furrowed his eyebrows.
Not able to contain his curiosity, he inquired, "Something wrong, Jonah?"
Jonah looked up from his phone and grinned, "Tate's coming by."
Tatum Dahl burst into the room, screaming, "I'M HERE, BOYS!!!"
Zach almost messed up his hair at the loud intervention. Jack shared a brief glance with Daniel. Corbyn seemed unaffected. Nevertheless, the boys did greet her. They like Tate. There was no doubt about it. They just felt she could tone down a little on the aggressive insertion of her personality.
Jonah's grin widened at the sight of his good friend. He immediately gave her a hug, "How are you?!"
Pulling away, Tate smiled, "Never been better."
The tall brunet held out his elbow, "Let's go?"
Tate nodded furiously as she linked her arm with his.
Jonah turned to the guys, "I'll be back before midnight. I'm just gonna spend some time with Tate and show her around." With that, the two friends walked out.
Zach let out a loud groan as soon as the door closed, "I like her. I really do. But she needs to stop making passes at him."
"He's probably too dense to notice." Jack shrugged. But then realization hit him, "wait... Is Jonah trying to move on?!"
"No, Jack! Shut up!" Corbyn scowled.
"I can't imagine him with anyone other than Winter." Daniel quipped.
The four best friends looked at the door and gulped.

"No, it was very weird." Tate asserted, walking down the street.
Jonah chuckled, "You have a different perspective of looking at things."
"I can't help it. Today, I woke up and said, 'Alright, alright, alright.' in a Matthew McConaughey voice."
"That's your best Matthew McConaughey impression till date!"
"Are you trying to say that I can't do impressions well?" The blonde narrowed her eyes, stopping in her tracks.
"All I am saying is that... maybe... just maybe... they need a little polishing." Jonah shrugged playfully.
The two went into a restaurant and sat down. Tate was hungry, something she repeated ever since they left the venue. They looked over the menu before ordering their respective dishes.
As they waited for their food to arrive, Tate saw this as the perfect opportunity to say what she has been meaning to for the past one year. She had waited too long, almost losing the charming brunet to someone else. Today, she was going to pour her heart out to the man sitting in front of her.
This time, there was no one to stop her.
She glanced at the man in front of her, who was busy staring at something in his wallet. She intertwined her fingers and closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes and smiled, "Jonah?"
