A Whisper in the Wind

Chapter 2

A/N- I'm not completely familiar with all of the characters from the newest Teen Titans team/ Damian's Team so I added people who the internet said were apart of the team, it might be canon in the comics only though as well as other characters who I thought would fit. So if I did these characters dirty please tell me so I can have a better understanding of them. This story was given to me by Tanjanette

'I'm late, oooohhh I'm so late!' Is the thought running through Marinette's mind as she sprints down the street to her school, and into her homeroom. "Marinette how nice of you to join us please have a seat" Miss Bustier comments while giving Marinette the stink eye. Sheepishly she walks to her desk in the front next to Alya. Miss Bustier continues her lesson and everyone focused so no one noticed a small black blur fly into Marinette's bag

In the bag

Inside of Marinette's Tikki is munching on a cookie when she is interrupted "Sugarcube!" Plagg the kwami of destruction whisper yells "Plagg what are doing? Why aren't you with your holder? What if there is an Akuma?" She asks slightly annoyed "I need to warn you, my holder is working with HawkMoth and wants to make a wish just like HawkMoth, his wish is to make Ladybug into his soulmate" "oh no! if he succeeds Ladybug will be devastated, she loves her soulmate" Plagg looks ashamed that the miraculous magic won't allow him to say anymore. "I wish I could tell you who he is and how he knows HawkMoth" Tikki looks at him sadly "You've done more than enough, now I can warn Ladybug and Master Fu" he nods before flying back to his holder with a heavy heart.

Outside the bag, the lesson continues.

While the lesson continues a small breeze suddenly enters the room and surrounds Marinette. "Where is that wind coming from?" Alya asks as it moves her hair "oh dudette's soulbond is called a whisper in the wind so whenever they want to talk to each other, wind surrounds them." Nino answers. "Well, what did he/she say?" Alya asks with her phone ready. "I'm sorry but I don't see why that is your concern, it's ridiculous utterly ridiculous that you think you can try to interfere with a soulbond," Chloé says obviously annoyed with Alya. "Thank you Chloé," Marinette says surprised, she then turns to Alya "My soulmate is very private and doesn't like when people involve themselves where they aren't invited, while I normally wouldn't mind I respect his wishes way too much to involve an outsider in our conversations" she then turns back to Miss. Bustier who was silent through all this while cutting off the connection, stopping the breeze.

After school

When Marinette is far enough away from her peers she starts up the connection "Shaytaniun I apologize for not responding earlier I was in class and my seatmate was nosy, what did you say?" the wind dances around her before leaving only to return seconds later from the opposite direction. "I apologize Angel for disturbing your class, what I was going to say was that I had a mission I needed to do and I wouldn't be able to talk today but it was finished earlier than I thought" she doesn't respond "Demon you are the good guy right? I know you do dangerous things but you are the good guy right?" He doesn't respond... finally "I am now" "... alright my love I wish you luck" she doesn't know what he does but with how constantly he gets hurt she knows he needs it, and that he knows he needs it too "thank you Angel" the wind dances again and this time Marinette dances with it smiling before it goes. She continues to smile before hearing "Dupain-Cheng! I need to talk to you!" she turns and is face to face with Chloé Bourgeois. "Yes?" She asks taking a step back. Chloé looks around before grabbing Marinette's arm and dragging her off to behind the school. "Choé what are you doing?" Marinette shrieks as she's being dragged, Chloé finally let's go and turn to face her. "I'm sorry" they stare at each other before Chloé continues "I am an awful person who in no way deserves forgiveness or even tolerance. I get this but want to start making everything I've ever done right, starting with the person I've hurt the most you, I know you are probably wondering what caused this change well multiple things did you, ladybug, and my.....soulmate" shocked 'since when did she have a soulmate?' Marinette only nods, Chloé breaths in and out "I recently found out I had a soulmate, and to put it lightly they called me an awful person that needs to wake up. So I did I took a step back and realized I'm not above you, or anyone else because of who my parents are. I want to prove to you, ladybug, and most importantly my soulmate that I can be a good person who you all can be proud of." For the first time in her life Chloé looks unsure of who she is, so Marinette does the only thing she can think of, Marinette hugs her, she then whispers "I'll help you get to the person you want to be". Chloé slowly nods, starts to cry and hug back. When they separated "we'll start tomorrow so you can apologize to the whole class and if they don't believe you make them by proving them wrong." Marinette says with determination to help her new friend. Chloé nods before hugging her one last time then walks off to her car. Marinette watches as she leaves before heading off too but this time not home. She walks for about 15 minutes when she reaches her destination and walks into a small massage parlor. "Hello?" She reaches out "Ah Ladybug, I'm glad you are here." A voice comes out from behind the counter. A small Asian man comes out in a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts "I am Master Fu and you wish to bring in the Justice League hmm." Marinette only nods, he signals her to follow him to one of the back rooms. Before both can say anything else Tikki zooms out "CHAT IS WORKING WITH HAWKMOTH!!" She screams out obviously distressed about the idea. Both Marinette and Master Fu are stunned, turning to each other "well it seems the situation is not in control as I thought it was, we will contact the Justice League, Ladybug transform" she nods "Tikki Spots On!"
