Chapter 8: Seed

Skahr woke up dazed trying to gather his wits as he remembered the mission he has impulsively accepted, but for now he had things to do. Kyuu was still sleeping soundly clinging to his right arm, he then slithered and wiggled his way out making sure his self-proclaimed wife won't notice so that he could continue the unfinished work. 

He resumed working on the craft silently, trying not to disturb Kyuu's comfortable sleep. After a bit of time passed Skahr had just finished his work when Kyuu woke up, he then gave her the crafted gifts.

"These will be your armors, I'm sorry if they're lacking since my crafting skills are below average but it might get better the more i practice. They are temporary for now, since we will hunt for new materials for us to craft in the future."

"Thank you husband-sama, I'l treasure them!" Kyuu spoke out happily after accepting the presents, and eagerly went on to wear them.

Skahr made a mantis carapace-cloth sleeveless vest that covers Kyuu's upper torso, the edges are covered with Lithe rabbit fur for comfort. She is amazed at how accurately fit and comfortable it is and asked Skahr how he did it, he just turn his head to look away. Unknown to her, one of Skahr's hidden Skills he learned from his past life is knowing a woman's proportions without the use of any measurement. A self taught skill he mastered with.. a lot of practice.

Skahr also gave Kyuu pants that is also made of the same material which covered the area from under her belly button upto just above her knees, of coarse with the same precision on how it perfectly fits on her butt to her legs. The edges are also trimmed with fur.

She also recieved elbow caps, arm guards, knee caps and shinguard all made in the same cloth-like material of mantis carapace. The gear was indeed made very humbly, thus the short time it required to finish it all.

Lastly, he gave Kyuu a pair of finger-less gloves made from the same mantis carapace before, with a Lithe rabbit gem embedded on the palm.

"Try pouring some essence on your clothes."

Kyuu did so and the carapace cloth-like armor turned to a hardened metallic texture.

"Wah!" She let out a surprised voice and wondered at her new clothes/armor. She removed the essence she had given the armor and it went back to it's cloth-like state. 

"Glad you like it, now the gloves with a gem on the palm. I think you already know how to use them correct?"

"YES!"

As for Skahr, he didn't need an armor since his scales are tougher and he can cover his whole body with them on will. Instead, he made a carapace finger-less arm guards with a gap above his knuckles for the blade to push out and a Lithe rabbit gem on the center of the back hand.

As Skahr wore the finger-less armguards and poured essence on the material, it made the same metallic texture like Kyuu's armor. Skahr protruded his Katar-like blades and activated Essence blade and the edges started to shine with moonlit luminance, Skahr then made a slash facing an empty wall near him. At the same time he poured essence on the gem on his gauntlet's backhand.
