The vast majority of the dialogue in the story is in French from the French speakers, however for the benefit of the readership it has all been written in English.
Ofcourse, this will be the reason for the odd remark that someone speaks in English. For the benefit of the story it will be presumed that legitimate dialogue in English will come from English speaking characters, like the American brothers, and the Korean laundromat owners.
